Leonin Abunas and Fountain Watch protect your Equipment from spot removal.

Sun Titan a great recursion engine.

Weathered Wayfarer keeps you from falling behind in land. Can tutor for nonbasics.

Argentum Armor offers a gigantic P/T boost and a Vindicate attack trigger. The best Equipment to cheat onto the field with Stonehewer Giant .

Darksteel Plate offers indestructible.

Loxodon Warhammer is a well-rounded Equipment.

The Kaldra Set, Sword of Kaldra , Shield of Kaldra , and Helm of Kaldra , are good Equipment on their own. With all three out, they create a nigh-unstoppable threat.

Caged Sun doubles your White mana.

Expedition Map is a great land tutor.

Trading Post is a great utility card for artifact-based decks.

Land Tax keeps you from falling behind on land.

All Is Dust is a board nuke that spares your Equipment.

Austere Command is a versatile sweeper.

Day of Judgment and Wrath of God are efficient creature sweepers.

Remember the Fallen is a great 2-for-1 recursion spell.

Steelshaper's Gift and Enlightened Tutor are one mana tutors.

Oblation is a catch-all tuck spell.

Path to Exile is one of White's best creature removal spells.

Buried Ruin is a handy piece of artifact recursion.

Kor Haven deters attackers.

Mikokoro, Center of the Sea is a great card draw engine. Mono-White is terrible at card draw and this keeps your hand from being empty.

Command Tower is pointless in mono-coloured decks.

Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse have no real purpose in mono-coloured decks. The most they do is cause unnecessary tempo loss.

@NensouHiebara

Thanks for the suggestions!

I have considered a lot of the cards you've mentioned, but I'm too lazy to type them into the deck.

I'll take out the Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse from the deck. I understand that Command Tower is pointless in a mono colored deck, I just like it for flavor.

Sorry in advance for not tagging but I haven't been on the site for a while. I run a similar deck with kemba as general but it's also a bit more cat-tribal. Have you also maybe considered Raksha golden cub or konda's banner I find them very helpful in the tribal aspect

@Raveler Those two cards are better in a tribal deck, although I'm curious, would Konda's Banner boost Brimaz as well?

May 10, 2014 6:37 p.m.

Raveler says... #5

Yes so brimaz would get +2/+2, and raksha is also really effective in getting two triggers from the equipped swords

@Raveler I'll see if I can find a place for Konda's Banner . Raksha on the other hand, is a seven drop, I don't find him to be efficient enough.

I don't like Gideon Jura in EDH, because if you ever decide to +2 him, he'll be dead by your next turn. Or do you only use him for his 0 ability?

May 12, 2014 4:29 p.m.

cian114 says... #8

@canterlotguardian His +2's a win con, force another player to attack opening up their side of the field follow hat up with an attack from Brimaz. I can equip him in his 0 ability as well, if need be.

May 12, 2014 5:12 p.m.

so if Gideon is a creature with his 0 ability and you equip him with something, do the artifacts "fall off" at EOT?

I've found Scroll Rack + Land Tax to be a devastating trick to use against your opponents, keeping your hand stocked and deck thinned to ensure you're grabbing mainly good stuff!

For my board wipes, I use Divine Reckoning , as it will typically save my best equipped creature (if it's not indestructible at that point) that can still easily deal with whatever is left on my opponent's side. Plus the Flashback can be handy in a pinch!

Planeswalkers are a pain in our group too, so Fated Retribution was an almost necessary addition, though I'd only suggest that if you're running across issues against opponents with planeswalkers.

I've also gone back and forth on Phyrexian Rebirth , as it will usually leave you with a heavy hitter that you can requip quickly. Hallowed Burial is pretty handy too.

I tend to run a suite of 3 to 4 board wipes in my Voltron deck, just to ensure the pressure is kept on my opponents, and so that things like Storm Herd can be quickly dealt with.

Dictate of Heliod is an awesome combat trick for this deck.

@undertheglass85 Nice synergy w/ Scroll Rack and Land Tax , thanks. Fated Retribution is a definite sideboard card, I might have to put in a Hallowed Burial to get rid of indestructibles, alongside Terminus . Storm Herd is such a great card, I run it in my Trostani deck, and pretty much ends the game unless dealt with immediately.

@essiga9 Dictate of Heliod wouldn't help the deck as much, because its not a token deck.

This card seems to me to be a great voltron piece since it makes more than just your general bigger and all the time. Admittedly better in a token shell I believe the card still holds utility for you. It is a 5 mana investment that adds +2/+2 to your general (the same as a sword of blah and blah) but instead of pro colors it adds that power to all of your creatures and you will never have to reinvest mana into it (re equip) to keep your general at a higher PT. The fact that it has flash and can be dumped onto the field during declaration of blockers just makes it even sweeter. When your opponent thinks they have finally found a way to profitably block your general you can drop this and kill their blocks and likely survive the encounter. Merit to the card and its utility.

@essiga9 I see your point. I just don't have room for it in the mean time, plus +2/+2 is kinda mediocre for 5 mana.

lol Three of the four listed there are in the deck. Apparently i'm lazy. Either way, I like Kemba!

I have an EDH with brimaz as commander now. One game I was swinging for over 100 a turn. Fun but kinda monotonous. Going to rebuild it as voltron with Khemba instead :D

Thanks for the +1's scrotality and NuBByThuMB.

I had Kemba in the deck for a time, but her tokens are 2/2's, not quite ideal for Skullclamp

Hey, you should play Mentor of the Meek !

Also, what do you need Command Tower for?

May 18, 2014 3:20 p.m.

cian114 says... #24

@corythackston I like Command Tower , there's no reason not to run it, so it's in. There's no room for Mentor of the Meek I did consider it, though.

Well you have Emaria, and it is a non-plains land that just produces white mana, so thats a reason...
