Thanks GrayAlchemyst! I am glad you like the deck. I am really happy with it so far. I am definitely going to playtest with Hangarback Walker, I just have not gotten around to it.

I am definitely going to switch out Tooth Collector. He is the worst card in the deck by far. I am considering Inexorable Blob, Tireless Tracker(If I can acquire any), Mindwrack Demon, and Catacomb Sifter as replacement options. If I were to drop some serious dough I would look into acquiring a couple Nissa, Vastwood Seer  Flip as that card would be amazing in this deck and really take it to the next level.

Thanks again and good luck with your future build!

I'm a fellow delirium builder and I like your list! I've been looking for something extra on my build, which you can see here. You could consider Drana, Liberator of Malakir or Mindwrack Demon for your deck to give it a little extra power. Keep on brewing!

Thanks michael921. I am glad you like the deck. I really like Drana, but she is a little on the pricey side. I am currently working on a trade for some Mindwracks and will do some play testing with those in my main. I don't foresee me not liking it or not finding it effective. A good flier would really help this deck.

I am currently in flux for my 3 drop. Tooth Collector was a bust and I have moved onto Inexorable Blob as reflected above and I like it way better. I also play tested with Hermit of the Natterknolls  Flip and I really like him as well. I guess tomorrow's game day will be the true test. Thanks again!

Vessel of Nascency ? works great to enable delirium and find your third and fourth land drops

Thanks for the suggestion CooperMTG. I originally had Vessel of Nascency in this deck, but removed it when I transitioned the deck from a straight delirium deck to a more control/mid-range deck. It's a fine card if you are aiming to just get delirium, but it ended up being a wasted card if already have delirium. Corpse Churn can be just as effective for one less mana at instant speed. Thanks again!

Planeswalkers. Add more planeswalkers. I just realized they help with Delerium as well. ob nixilis is the one that comes to mind when I think of that.

Thanks RainbowInferno. Might not be a bad idea. He would certainly help with control, and is a reasonably priced walker and that always helps. Definitely need something to make this deck more competitive. I feel like it's really close. I'd probably take out Sinister Concoction since I'm on the fence about that card anyway. Unless you see something else worth removing? Thanks again!

Hi, I saw your comment on my deck and I wanted to check in on yours.

I had actually seen yours while I was trying to find some assistance for mine. I see that we have gone two separate ways with delirium. I have been going back and forth with the sylvan advocate, and I am considering making a few changes to my sorcery list and creature list.

For your deck I think that maybe a Read the Bones instead of one dead weight? I see that you do not have many ways to draw actual cards other than your starting hand or lands. Or possibly maybe add two Mindwrack Demon, they help immensely in triggering delirium and with your deck you could always get them out turn 4. I suggest that since everything except them will get killed by a languish unless you have 6+ lands on the field as they survive languishes.

Though this changes on the metagame, I would suggest some enchantment hate in the sideboard, such as Natural State or Root Out. In every Golgari deck that I run, I mainboard a couple Catacomb Sifters, so they will be more wary with their removal.

From what I can tell, your deck seems to be getting closer to mine over time. You should look at mine. I'll go ahead and tell you, Mindwrack Demon is amazing.

So I've been watching this deck evolve because i really like this idea and style of deck. But I've begun to have a problem, which can be addressed by this question. At this point, why do you care about getting delirium?Traverse gets significantly better, or would if you had a creature to search for that would just win the game. Pick the brain gets better, but is only a total blowout against combo. Obsessive Skinner has a really strong effect with delirium, but it is also a really slow effect. Admittedly autumnal gloom is great and needs delirium, but if you are only running that as a set of cards that really capitalize on delirium then the delirium doesn't really matter. You have some really steady ways of enabling delirium, but then there isn't much payout.

You bring up a very fair point GrayAlchemyst. After playing against some friends and in a tournament, I wasn't sure that selling out to get delirium was the best path. I still liked many of the cards and many of the delirium effects, but I wasn't convinced it could be competitive. That was when I started brewing up changes. I wanted it to be more of a control/midrange deck with some big payoffs to finish out the game. I did notice an oversight in my decklist after reading your comment, when I did a mass update of the deck, I accidentally took out Soul Swallower which has on of the best delirium effects in the game and can be that game winner for Traverse the Ulvenwald to go find. You bring up a great point about Pick the Brain and while it can sometimes hit big against the bant company and G/W token decks of the world, it's much more game changing against a seasons past deck or something. I think I will move it to the sideboard and in its place I will probably put a couple Mindwrack Demon. I really appreciate your feedback and for calling me out on my constant tinkering :) I just am rarely satisfied with my deck build and always trying to improve. Thanks again and hope you like the changes.

The changes are great! And Ye I'm sorry if I came off kinda grumpy, I wasn't intending to call you out for brewing constantly, (I do do it myself after all) But it was late. My apologies. And the Soul Swallower and Mindwrack Demon both seem like great additions! This deck is nonetheless awesome though! Happy brewing.

Thanks for the suggestion JKLawson89. I already planned on switching those two cards. Much better card for sure. I just haven't updated based on the spoilers for emn. I also want to work Gnarlwood Dryad in here somewhere. Cheers!

Gnarlwood Dryad is sweet!

Maybe Emrakul, the Promised End could have a place in this deck perhaps?

July 3, 2016 10:52 a.m.

Cragon18 says... #19

Thanks for the feedback Delta-117. I am certainly not opposed to playtesting with Emrakul, I am not sure if she will work or not. I currently have 6 card types, so the absolute cheapest would be 7 mana. While that is a bargain for a 13/13 Mindslaver, I wouldn't necessarily have every possible card type in my graveyard. That said, the card is certainly powerful enough to give it a shot. Thanks again!

When origins rotates out you should maybe give World Breaker a try. It has been always one of my favourite Eldrazi.

I know this is late to the party but I think Gather the Pack might be better than corpse churn

July 4, 2016 11:51 a.m.

Cragon18 says... #22

Thanks for the suggestion, GrayAlchemyst. I tried Gather the Pack at one point, but went back to Corpse Churn for the instant speed flexibility. I also plan to switch Corpse Churn for Grapple with the Past, since it provides the flexibility of grabbing a land to replace a land that was milled or sacrificed to The Gitrog Monster.

Oh and if your ever looking for another card type and all since I did suggest maybe an Emrakul earlier why not try Alchemist's Vial?

Groundskeeper can't interact with Evolving Wilds in the slightest.
