Avacyn's Myriad works primarily by sheer numbers. It runs a little heavy at 73 cards, but all of them come in handy fairly quickly and all of them need only Plains to cast. Half the instants and sorceries spout out 1/1 creatures and the other half equip all creatures with extra power, defense, and vigilance. The rapidly growing number of creature's and creature tokens that enter the battle field put +1/+1 counters on the Champion of the Parish, provide an additional +1/+1 for Crusader of Odric and then give another one to the Unruly Mob when they are destroyed. There is a great combo to be exploited here. When your battlefield is engorged with creatures and the Unruly Mob is out, cast Divine Reckoning. Both you and your opponent will only be allowed to save one of your creatures, so choose the Unruly Mob . When the dust settles, you and your opponent will both have one creature, but your creature will have the additional 1/1 counter of every creature you destroyed. And you will be able to easily replenish the field with more creatures to make use of its flashback. Not to mention, if any human wore Avacyn's Collar or the Mausoleum Guard was on the field, you already get several more token creatures. For an additional perk, cast Goldnight Redeemer before casting Divine Reckoning and all those creatures will give you 2 life a piece before they go off into oblivion.

The majority of artifacts ( Heavy Mattock , Sharpened Pitchfork , Silver-Inlaid Dagger, etc.) supplement any creature, but also provide an additional boost to specifically human creatures. Avacyn's Collar can be reequipped over and over again to gain 1/1 Spirit tokens, and since this deck is all human save a few angels, this effect works 95% of the time. Four Bonds of Faith can supplement your humans or stun a non-human opponent.

The best possible situation occurs when you cough up the 8 mana to cast Avacyn, Angel of Hope. Not much can stand against a massive army of indestructible creatures led by a flying 8/8 angel. But even if you never cast her, the sheer numbers of your army combined with all the cheap group power-ups will level most enemies. Bon Appetite!
