I had a dude do that to me this past FNM. I was aware of the rule though, so I was at least prepared for it. Another thing to watch with those Mardu aggro decks is Urborg paired with Fetch Lands. It's hilarious that Wizards put those in Standard together, it's such good synergy.

I would add 2x more Herald of Torment. Nighthowler and Sidisi want nothing more than to be Evasive. I would replace the Rakshasa Viziers with them because I think they are less versatile than Nighthowler. However, if you have a strong Delve build that doesn't keep things in your graveyard then maybe the Vizier is better and Nighthowler is better with things like the Whip of Erebos.

Strength from the Fallen ? Makes for insane plays running a dredge-y deck with Nighthowler . Just pitch 7 cards to the graveyard by turn 4 or 5 (provided you've got an Elvish Mystic ) and it's Strength of the Fallen into Nighthowler bestow for a +21/+21 on whatever creature you bestow on. That's the core of my Golgari dredge :p

@83cheshire I added another Heraldt, removed the Viziers in place of more mana to balance it out, and there's quite a bit of delve happening in the deck.
@TehDot I've considered it, but I wanted the deck to be more of a grindy control affair. Could be something to mess around though.

love the deck man, so strong :) +1
The only thing I'd suggest is a bit of a mana fix. Instead of having more black mana than needed, I'd suggest having more green/blue. My reasoning is that the green and blue cards are your own deck formating cards which enable you to get your important plays out. I'd rather always count on sylvan or taigam's coming down on turn 2 than anything else.
just my 2c.

gro0ve Makes sense. I'll play around with it a bit and see how it goes.
And thanks man, I'm happy you find it strong, it's quite fun to play actually

Just a quick thought I had about charm vs ascendancy.
Ascendancy gives you two cards in the yard on upkeep which is nice but charm gives you two cards in hand and 1 in the yard off its third ability- on their end step. You might want to move the charm from the side into the main and drop 1 of the ascendancy.
I found I had to do the same with my abzan deck. While I love the ascendancy I think only one of them (Jeskai) is viable for consructed unfortunately. When I replaced mine, I added 2xAbzan Charm simply because the 3 abilities it grants at instant speed are far more interactive than the static of the ascendancy.

@PreZchoICE1 I bet that you were typing that just as I was cutting out the Ascendancy hahaha, I cut them for a pair of Stubborn Denial (Potentially Negate still testing it).
Dropped 1 Downfall for 1 more Charm though.

Nice, but one of my casual decks took a turn for the awesome with khans' release. Check it out Diving Lessons

How is stubborn denial working out for you in this build? Seems to me like it would kind of fall flat unless you catch them tapping out in most scenarios. Or i guess you have something nighthowled. it would still be good. Anyway. Plus one cause its pretty rad and the name is original.

Thanks Quadsimotto.
Stubborn works pretty well, Just have to play it smart. You can drop it early game to stall out aggro (because let's face it, they are full pedal and won't keep that 1 mana untapped) or it can just be held onto until you hit that trigger, Which is pretty easy in this deck mid game.
BUT it can always be sideboarded for the Negate

Stubborn Denial seems really bad when the only thing that triggers Ferocious is your Nighthowler.

Commune with the Gods ?? anyway, really nice deck! +1 from me :) take a look at my decks if you want :)

I initially had commune in here, But I needed to free up more slots for creatures needed to make sure the Nighthowler get's the most use, I felt like with Taigam's Scheming and Satyr Wayfinder I have no problem throwing stuff into the yard

Ah damn many yeah I'd pretty feeling salty after that hahaha, that mechanic would make the butcher much priceier if people actually understood that it can be abused that way.
Man I'd feel robbed having that done to me having a butcher out myself lol, then you feel dickish for calling him out knowing that you could have done it too
