Have you ever wondered what happens if you take affinity and storm, and mash them into one big pile? Well, apparently, the answer is this. This deck can go off with some measure of consistency around turn 5-6, so probably a bit too slow for modern (and too broken for casual). Use it at your own risk, because it's probably garbage. From my goldfishing attempts, I can say that it does some pretty explosive things when it does go off, though it is somewhat inconsistent. As an added bonus, every card in the deck costs 1$ or less.
Game plan:
Play chief engineer/etherium sculptor. Play trophy mage, get inspiring statuary or oketra's monument, depending on situation. Empty hand onto battlefield. Use paradoxical outcome (with inspiring statuary discount) to refill hand, or alternatively, sandstone oracle. Get tons of value. Hopefully win.
Card-specific notes:
Sandstone Oracle
: It's pretty hard to evaluate how this would actually work in practice, since all I really have at the moment is goldfishing. I was hoping I could make the deck even more explosive with Sandstone Oracle and
Chief Engineer
, but it's hopefully okay. This deck is also pretty close to being modern legal, so it wouldn't be hard to convert it to modern.
But yeah. That's about it. If you do decide to take this monstrosity for a spin, do let me know how it goes! Hope you found this interesting/inspirational.
