Maybeboard

my fist attempt as an artifact deck. I decided to take the common approach of rolling with blue.

Card Purposes

Kuldotha Forgemaster, a focal point of this deck. Its ability to deck-to-field an artifact is incredible, especially if you search for Sharuum the Hegemon. This way you get one of the sacked artifacts back. And a great use I've found for it is, if you're attacked and about to lose, use it to bring in Platinum Emperion.

Sharuum the Hegemon is a great card, as it brings back an artifact to the field. Though, as there is no white mana to play it, the only way to do so is as intended, with Kuldotha Forgemaster, or by spending an extra mana on Prismatic Lens. Combining it with Conjurer's Closet brings back an artifact every turn. Also, a 5/5 flyer that can't to killed by standard destroy spells (Go for the Throat, Doom Blade)ain't too shabby.

Master Transmuter pretty much ignores the casting cost of any artifact. Think of paying one mana and a tap to exchange Seat of the Synod with Darksteel Forge or something like that. Awesome, right?

Spine of Ish Sah is great for just destroying something that's annoying. Seems expensive, but combining it with the ability of Master Transmuter lets you play it relatively free of cost.

Conjurer's Closet is easiest one of the most versatile cards I've ever seen. Colorless, so it can be splashed onto any deck, and it's effect to shimmer anything once a turn at will is absolutely incredible. Its uses in this deck are crazy. I already mentioned its use with Sharuum the Hegemon after Kuldotha Forgemaster's abilty. Great with Phyrexian Metamorph to turn it into any artifact creature on the field. Also great to swing with creature, like Blightsteel Colossus or Darksteel Juggernaut , then shimmer it back in untapped and ready to defend!

Everflowing Chalice is great as a 0 drop to sack with Kuldotha Forgemaster's ability. Although, if you have extra mana, why not kick it once or twice?

Tinker is absolutely glorious. sac a crappy artifact on the field like an unkicked Everlasting Chalice or even an artifact land for a Sharuum the Hegemon or Platinum Emperion or Contagion Engine wipe or weaken an opponent's board.

Contagion Engine is useful for wiping and weakening an opponent's field. With 4 mana, you can give all of their creatures -3/-3 and, if you have Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas out, that's 2 more loyalty counters on him, that. If they play new creatures, no worries. Just use Master Transmuter's ability to bring it back and throw something else out, then play it again.

Scarecrone is great to bring back any artifact creature. Someone kills Sharuum the Hegemon or Etched Champion? 4 mana, and thy're back!

Mistvein Borderpost and Seat of the Synod and great as mana and artifact sources, especially combining it with Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas' final ability.

and the rest is pretty much self-explanatory

I know there's a ton in this description, but it just goes to show how versatile this deck really is.

Note: I've built a ton of decks, but I don't consider any of them perfect. There are plenty of more experienced players out there than me, so please, take a gander and let me know if there's anything I can improve on, any and all feedback is welcome!
