As a long-standing red player, and a hater of blue, I finally decided to take the "don't knock it until you try it" saying to heart and decided to build mono-U EDH. I also needed another deck, because my Kaalia of the Vast deck is Duel Commander, which many playgroups don't play.

I chose Azami as the commander because many of the other blue commanders are harder to build around or are just trash. Azami is pretty much wizards, counters, and a combo. I thought about building arcum dagasson but he lends himself too easily to combo and receives lots of hate.
