Rayne doesn't need any auras to be cool, although they do make her better. I'm unsure about its removal.

As for Cryptic Command , it is way too expensive. Over 30 a piece is a very high price for a casual deck.

Right now I'm unhappy with Savor the Moment and that card is going out. Declaration of Naught can take its place.

I might as well swap out Negate for Discombobulate . As I said before I dislike conditional counterspells and having either Negate or Muddle the Mixture in my hand and being unable to counter a decisive creature can be painful. Muddle the Mixture has its value though since it has Transmute.

One more to go for Spelljack . Parallel Thoughts maybe since it tends to draw too much attention.

Oh! I'm also considering a Pact of Negation (although this might be a bit too expensive for my wallet; still considering it).

And even though its a restrictive counter, what do you think of Swan Song ? For 1 mana it sounds like an interesting option..

Swan Song is pretty good, but again it's a bit limited.

I was also thinking about maybe Kira, Great Glass-Spinner . I have no idea what you'd replace for it but it's sweet!!!

That is a great card, no doubt. And I had considered it before. But most stuff I face these days is mass removal. Very little spot removal is played in my playgroup. I'm even considering removing Redirect .

And yes, I hate mass removal.

I've been thinking: the reason why I don't consider Kira much of a card for my meta is should be the reason why I should remove Rayne from the deck. So yeah. I'll update it later today but Rayne is out, freeing space for Spelljack.

Or not. I still prefer the interactions Rider has with the deck and the fact it is free to use while Words of Wind doesn't allow me to chose what is it I want to "boomerang".

Mind Over Matter is a great card to pair with Azami, Lady of Scrolls especially if you have the Tamiyo, the Moon Sage emblem

I know. But I find Mind Over Matter a bit too broken. I'm shying away from it for that reason alone. This is a deck to play with some friends on my Sunday morning gaming sessions. Not competitive at all and already considered too boring due to the amount of control it packs.

I'd use it if I was playing competitive though. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Diviner's Wand is hilarious. Being a wizard, you can tap it to draw with Azami.

@ImHereToNetdeck sorry for the delay but I only noticed your comment today. I might consider it. It has no equipping cost in this deck which is nice and turns the wizard using it into a nice beast. I like it.

In Europe its far cheaper. As a matter of fact I thought it was a bit more expensive. I might get some since I have other decks that might enjoy it too. Even more than this one since the deck has a very low mana curve. Next time I order cards I'll keep an eye on that.

I tend to dislike infinite combos. In about 20 EDH decks I only use 1 infinite combo because its thematic. I shy away from those.

C14 doesn't seem to be bringing much stuff to this deck. Yet the extra Sol Ring s will help and one of those will be added here. Myriad Landscape will too and I'm keeping an eye on ther Gale which sounds quite interesting too.
