Psychosis Crawler is super good in a draw deck, trust me. And although it is a high mana cost, Meishin, the Mind Cage can be really effective at slowing the game down so you can set things up. Plus any mono color deck should be running Caged Sun at the very least. Control Magic , Phyrexian Metamorph , and Rite of Replication are really good at stealing other players big creatures to steal the win. And if you are running a lot of flying creatures, or intend to, Windreader Sphinx can draw an absolutely disgusting amount of cards.

Thanks for the input! Caged Sun , Meishin, the Mind Cage , Psychosis Crawler , Control Magic , Phyrexian Metamorph and Rite of Replication will all likely make it into the deck at some point.

However, Windreader Sphinx , no matter how awesome, just won't work as well as I'd like it to. I'd rather just Xenograft and draw tons of cards with everything tapping rather than attacking- I'm less of an immediate threat and can stay out of the spotlight in multiplayer until I hit a big combo and draw someone out for the kill.

No problem, I made a blue black draw deck and loved it. There are so many options for draw, but be careful. I ran Consecrated Sphinx and played Prosperity , have never milled myself so quickly.

Meloku the Clouded Mirror is a good option.

I'd highly recommend hiring Arcanis the Omnipotent as a professor for the school. His ability to draw and bounce himself is pretty effective. Other good additions may be Rayne, Academy Chancellor or any of the numerous wizards from the Onslaught block.

I love this! +1 Have you considered Omniscience ? It's a potential win con, since if you have Azure Mage out, or Galvanic Alchemist soul bounded onto a wizard you can draw infinitely many cards for free, so just draw until you get Laboratory Maniac , then draw some more.

I'd also recommend Vedalken AEthermage as a cheap wizard tutor due to wizardcycling.

Upheaval is banned in commander I believe. Other than that cool deck! Love the idea of wizard tribal!
