I meant you can enchant creatures that are hexproof. I would not use the acid vs hexproof the deck, it is too slow. The acid mainly for establishing lategame control vs other control decks or destroying key cards like planeswalkers in the matchups that matter.
Vs Hexproof the deck, best card is actually Stonehorn Dignitary , combined with Venser, the Sojourner .

It's not the most prominent threat in the meta but if your main answers to it are at 1-3 then it appears to be a weakness. That said I don't know how this deck works and would love to see it in action

In regards to you saying how the deck runs out of blinking effects in the long game (comment #3), have you considered using Snapcaster Mage to reuse your Cloudshift s, Paths, etc? Seems like a good call for a control-type deck.
June 17, 2014 7:22 a.m.
Snapcaster is a great call, but really expensive and limited in what it can do with 10 instants, usually the best option is a simple PTE. That said, the deck is designed to run out of blinking at some point. Cheap blink is all that matters in the early and mid game, until we reach the end goal of resolving venser for endless blinks.

I really like the Stonehorn Dignitary and blink effects combo. I can def see some players getting pretty butt hurt over the play. That's probably why it makes me smile thinking about the play. One card I have always liked in my Blink effect decks that I don't see many people running copies of is Sage Owl being able to manipulate the top of your deck over and over again is a useful tool to say the least. Plus he's a flyer. A little bonus on top of having control of the top of your deck.

But, he does not draw a card. I need the actual cards in my hand, not on top. Even then, I have no shuffle effects (fetches and 20 lands do not go together well, I am stretching it even with one), so no way to benefit from the owl for turns after he is played. Creatures need to be impactful for this deck and low mana, with good ETB abilities. Owl is not impactful at all.
But keep the suggestions coming!

When you flicker a morphed card it comes back unmorphed?
September 1, 2014 10:04 a.m.
Exactly. Currently, Akroma is the best card for it, but Khans has potential.
September 1, 2014 10:12 a.m.
Ok because I was like how in the world is Akroma getting morphed. Yah khans could possibly bring out another addition.

I love this deck. There's not much KTK could add besides Flooded Strand . Ashcloud Phoenix might allow some shenanigans. Maybe Kheru Spellsnatcher or Thousand Winds could become real cards here. I hope Fate Reforged brings more morph.
October 10, 2014 3:28 a.m.
The thing with morph is that I am never paying the morph cost for Akroma, Angel of Fury , I am only blinking it. Sagu Mauler is the only morph from khans in consideration but I like the fact the akroma has protection from my own deck. I am already playing 1 fetchland which will become Flooded Strand for sure. I prefer a lower land count than more lands and more fetches.
Glad you like the deck.

Ah yeah, sorry I missed that they had to be faced up. Ashcloud Phoenix could work anyways since it just won't die.

Pheonix is a decent card, but Akroma outclasses it every regard:
- Does not make me lose precious life points - this is a control deck and every point of life matters until I can control the field. If the pheonix also dealt 2 to every other creature as well, it would be a different story.
- The Angel is a finisher - between fetches, shocklands and earlier damage, it does not take more than 2-3 hits at most to kill off the opponent. The pheonix takes 1 turn more.
- Pheonix lacks protection. Pretty much the only removal capable of killing the Angel is Doom Blade and Maelstrom Pulse which is very lightly played. Evading Decay, Path and Bolt is key. The Pheonix dies to Gutshot and half an Electrolyze .
- If the pheonix dies, it comes back as a morph which is great. But without Planeswalker venser, I cannot keep flipping it back up every time, so it will stay a 2/2 for a long time.

How does he help the overall plan of the deck in any way?
October 26, 2014 1:01 p.m.
Akroma has always been one of my favorite creatures. i really like the idea of flickering a morph card to get it face up much easier. I am gonna try and make a budget version of this if you don't mind :3
October 26, 2014 5:26 p.m.
Nefferean, please do so! The budget version includes the very cool engine of Leonin Relic-Warder + Reality Acid to lock up the game. The only necessary cards that are not budget are the angels (very optional, can be replaced) and the 2 Venser, the Sojourner . Everything else is entirely up to you. I will post a budget version for you soon.

Restoration Angel is way better than Flickerwisp in this deck
October 30, 2014 6:24 a.m.
Seriously, flickerwisp is better - "another permanent" > "another non-angel creature you control"

I assume you have already vetoed Deadeye Navigator, but I have found he can easily win the game. All in all, I really like the deck, and I love how you get akroma onto the battlefield. It seems pretty polished, so I don't have another suggestion. I tried play testing it, and it was a turn 4 akroma. It was awesome. +1
November 29, 2014 7:57 a.m.
I think Krosan Cloudscraper is worth a mention. Granted it requires more than a splash and consistent mana needing to be payed but a 13/13 on turn 4 is kinda worth it...
January 3, 2015 12:22 a.m.
Akroma is equally scary and I absolutely love that it has protection from my own deck. Splashing green is only worth it for 2 cards - Acidic Slime and Thragtusk.
January 3, 2015 2:04 a.m.
At least splashing green is something to consider if you ever want to change things up a little bit xD

That's interesting if that works, but vs hexproof it's really not the greatest. Hexproof is very fast. If it is firing off properly they'll be dropping 3 or more enchantments a turn and answering those one at a time is simply too slow. Although I will admit that Detention Sphere is an excellent answer to Rancor but game two they'll just keep one in hand for when you drop it. I'd certainly like to see this matchup though. It seems like it would be interesting.
