Azorious Supreme Control

Commander / EDH* WU (Azorius)

Nibbith

Life gain and control deck. Obvious theme of control, lots of counter spells, which can be used to facilitate/protect deck mechanics or to interrupt other player's.

Azor, the Lawbringer offers control, lifegain and card draw. His card draw should give you the ability to draw into control spells to further the lock down of opponents. Angel of Condemnation, Brago, King Eternal, Conjurer's Closet, Deadeye Navigator, Galepowder Mage, Identity Thief, Mistmeadow Witch, Momentary Blink, Nephalia Smuggler, Venser, the Sojourner and Voidwalk all provide repeated reliable blink. Unblockable via Venser, the Sojourner and Thassa, God of the Sea can ensure the cipher effect of Voidwalk or assist Brago, King Eternal. Sphinx’s Decree and Sphinx's Revelation give additional access to these abilities when Azor is in the command zone or not blinkable.

Alhammarret's Archive will magnify the life gain and card draw. Thought Vessel, Library of Leng and Reliquary Tower allow me to keep my hand in excess of 7 cards. Well of Lost Dreams and Drogskol Reaver turn lifegain into additional card draw. Kefnet the Mindful will likely be useable in this deck due to the card draw, but he can also generate some additional card draw. Confirm Suspicions is expensive control but generates further card draw. Baral, Chief of Compliance makes the 1UU control spells all cast like Counterspell and then allows for more card draw, albeit requiring a discard. Terrain Generator can help get excess lands into play as they are drawn.

Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant add easy lifegain and synergy with Talrand, Sky Summoner and Docent of Perfection   to make every counterspell into a creature and life gain engine. Absorb and Fall of the Gavel give lifegain as well as counterspell.

Austere Command, Supreme Verdict, Sublime Exhalation and Fumigate are the decks board wipes. With Austere giving options in removal, and Fumigate adding more life gain. AEtherize can of course be used to wipe an attack wave.

Win Conditions:

There are 5 sneak win cons in the deck. Laboratory Maniac can allow you to deck yourself for the win. Azor's Elocutors can allow you to chump block your way to victory. Felidar Sovereign has the obvious lifegain win condition. Psychosis Crawler could combo with card draw. And Approach of the Second Sun is viable since you can potentially draw into it on the same turn, and counter opponents counter attempts. Expropriate and Beacon of Tomorrows both facilitate these win cons by skipping past opponents chances to interfere.

Additionally, there is commander damage. Azor, the Law Bringer has a decent power of 6, and flying for evasion. Venser, the Sojourner and Thassa, God of the Sea both can give unblockable, which while not a deck theme could assist in generating the 21 points of commander damage. Extra turns could be used for this purpose as well, though likely would be better spent as above.

Lastly, if all else fails, flying combat damage. Azor, the Lawbringer, Alhammarret, High Arbiter, Angel of Condemnation, Drogskol Reaver, Final Iteration and Ojutai Monument give you beefy flyers. Identity Thief might also be able to facilitate the attack. While Docent of Perfection   or Final Iteration and Talrand, Sky Summoner should provide you with smaller aggro support that flys.
