When Jace visited the Golden City he was excited to witness all of its glory. The beauty of the God Ephara was something he could not deny and it seemed like the whole city was blooming just because of her. Everything seemed perfect behind these huge walls, built over the generations. The law, however, was practiced more strict than Jace expected. It did not take long before he realized that the only way such greatness could be achieved, was through a very strict regime. Martial law was always in effect and the police force was not to be messed with. Vast amounts of knowledge, but all tucked away in the ancient libraries; guarded by the mighty Sphinxes of old. Maybe that is why the throne is still empty to this day...
