My first attempt at an Azorious build. I decided to break the norm and make it aggro. I found that the best way to do this is make use of the Heroic ability.
Lets run through our heroes:
Battlewise Hoplite: Great card. Not only does it get buffs from being targeted. It also lets you SCRY.
Favored Hoplite: Nice aggro here. Works well given its second heroic ability.
Fabled Hero: Definitely a powerhouse. If he connects it can leave the opponent devastated.
Nivmagus Elemental: Great synergy with Hidden Strings and Bioshift. It can be a huge threat early game.
Daxos of Meletis: The captain of our heroes. Daxos adds a bit of life gain as well as some control, keeping the opponent away from a good draw.
Now for the utilities:
Aqueous Form: Great trigger. Offers scry and gives a creature unblockable. FOR 1 MANA.
Ethereal Armor: Even without other enchantments its a +2/+2 and first strike on its own.
Ordeal of Thassa: Great for counters, as well as draw power.
Gods Willing: Gives protection as well as scry. Helps against removal.
Triton Tactics: This one messes up opponents a lot. Great for spot removal and heroic triggers.
Bioshift: Gives 2 heroic triggers and can help save some precious power when removal comes into play.
Hidden Strings: Two heroic triggers and pseudo-vigilance. Combos great with Nivmagus Elemental.
