I've played Azusa before when SOI was out. Which means excavator didn't exist then. I remember that my plan then was run a gazillion mana doublers than R3W for G-wave. I've grown a bit since then, and we also have a new tool in exca. I don't want to play full comp with tangle wires etc, nor do I want to play a 1v1 focused deck, where 3 mana LD is pretty good. I wonder what I want to do here. Probably get a bunch of mana, and have the eye of ugin wincon? But I didn't have it then, and I don't really want to play a weaker deck. But then again, multiple mana doublers for a huge G wave is over the top and into the trash can against any interaction. Maybe this smaller wincon package is more resilient and better. And if not, it'll at least be more fun.
