I would consider Conduit of Ruin if you like getting out your Eldrazi more often.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will make room for it.

What are your thoughts on The Great Aurora? Seems like it would work in my favor. Although - would that shuffle Azusa into my library?

It is effectively a game reset, and personally I wouldn't play it in this deck. Since you get to put all of the land out at once, Azusa won't have any real effect. Also, it doesn't really fit the theme of overrunning your opponents, since you essentially level the playing field.

If you do play it, you can put Azusa back into the command zone.

If you are looking for removal, you might consider Back to Nature instead of Natural State, or possibly Fracturing Gust.

Mono green can't run Fracturing Gust because its color identity is WG. You'd have to go with Back to Nature out of those, which is still by no means bad.

Oracle of Mul Daya seems like an absolute must, it's a great card draw engine in a 39 land deck. Leatherback Baloth, Experiment One, Strangleroot Geist and Kalonian Tusker are very underpowered in a format where the combined life total of your opponents is often >100. Similarly, Oxidize and Natural State are very efficient at what they do, but more flexible cards like Nature's Claim or more powerful ones like Terastodon or Bane of Progress are usually better in EDH.
Many Azusa decks include the powerful package of Crucible of Worlds / Life from the Loam plus Strip Mine, Wasteland, Dust Bowl and Tectonic Edge. While extremly potent, it's not the most fun and casual combination of cards, so your call whether you want to add that.
Some more ideas: Tooth and Nail, Ancient Tomb, Avenger of Zendikar, Harmonize, Woodfall Primus, Duplicant, Fierce Empath, Priest of Titania.

The oracle seems very good

Am I running too many lands?

I think around 40 lands is a solid number for a deck like this, but i haven't played it myself, so i am not sure about it.

I haven't finished building it yet so I have no clue if it is enough or too much

I did look around and found an Azusa deck that ran 54 lands, hah

I think I'll be alright.

Hey! I think you've got a great start to what could be a monster! It definitely looks like you've got some cards that you'd use in other formats that can easily be swapped for some more commander appropriate ones. In my opinion, a lot of one-shot cards like Attune with Aether, Eldritch Evolution, and Prey Upon just aren't good enough to be worth it in a high caliber commander deck. Green doesn't really have the uses for energy in commander, so I'd suggest a big game changer, like Boundless Realms instead of an early game slow ramp spell. Momentous Fall can replace Eldrich Evolution, because why tutor, when you can just grab half your deck? All you need is a big dude.. in mono green.. lol. Take a look at my competative mono-green deck, and see if you can grab some ideas. Nissa's Lands. I've put a lot of time and effort into her, and it pays off!

thank you for the suggestions, NINJAxPENGUIN92. I always appreciate feedback.

Attune with Aether and other things like Prey Upon are in here at the moment as placeholders for better cards. I am still researching and so far these are just what I had so I tossed them in to fill the gap so I can play while I wait for other cards.

I think I will definitely be getting my hands on Momentous Fall. But I like Eldritch Evolution because it can take something that I don't need anymore once I establish my board (like Sylvan Caryatid, for example) and turn it into something more useful (like Eternal Witness) and take it straight to the battlefield for value. Testing has been good so far, and if I have Panharmonicon out I can get double ETB triggers off of Eternal Witness or even Avenger of Zendikar.

I will definitely look at your deck. Thanks again!

Not a problem! I love mono green. I'ts so much fun, and so versatile. I definitely get your point with the evolution. I guess I just prefer early game land ramp instead of mana dorks lol. And I'm actually starting to like the thought of the evolution for more specific creature tutor (especially e-wit)!

November 19, 2016 7:11 p.m.

Yeah man, tutoring for e-Witt is just one utility idea. Eldritch Evolution has potential to be a great utility card, and if I can use it at instant speed with something like Vedalken Orrery then it is value town all the way lol

November 19, 2016 9:15 p.m.

I'd totally sac an Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre after attacking for an e-wit trigger for him back to the hand before his own shuffle trigger resolves ;)

November 19, 2016 9:25 p.m.

Wait.. no.. that doesn't work.. dang XD

Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, then, and I'll just exile stuff!

November 19, 2016 9:27 p.m.

Oh yeah, I just remembered I have an extra new-Lamog

He's totally going in here. Thanks for the reminder

November 19, 2016 9:37 p.m.

So good!! I'd probably drop the Plated Crusher, Desolation Twins, Gaea's Revenge, or Terra Stomper for him.

FYI: 1) Woodland Bellower can't search legends, so you can't get Nissa, Vastwood Seer  Flip with it.
2) Fastbond is banned in EDH.

1) oops.. Good point, I forgot about that.2) fail on my part fir not researching it.

Thanks for the reminders.

Got any more suggestions for me? I've tweaked my list a bit since the decks conception.

You currently don't have many ways to interact with creatures. It sucks to lose to an unanswered Kaliaa of the Vast or be stuck under a Peacekeeper, so you probably need tools to fight back. Think about Duplicant, Somberwald Stag, Song of the Dryads, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger or Mouth of Ronom.
Landing Azusa on turn 2 seems like it makes a big difference. You could improve your chances to do that by adding more accelerators for turn 1, namely Boreal Druid, Utopia Sprawl, Wild Growth, Sol Ring, Birds of Paradise, Ancient Tomb, Exploration, Dryad Arbor (enables Green Sun's Zenith to ramp on turn 1).
Can you explain the use of Perpetual Timepiece? The card seems underpowered here. Prism Ring is another card i dislike. You don't need lifegain in every game (unless your metagame is extremely aggressive), so sometimes it's basically a blank. Other games you might want the effect, but can't tutor for an artifact. Why not play a creature that fulfils that role? That you can find when you need it. I suggest Pelakka Wurm or Nylea's Disciple.
Is Back to Nature in your deck to hate a specific deck in your playgroup? If the answer is yes, good choice. Otherwise, i think the card is too situational.
There are a couple more great planeswalkers for mono green: Garruk Wildspeaker, Garruk, Primal Hunter, Garruk, Caller of Beasts, Nissa, Worldwaker and Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury. While Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is an amazing card in the right context, i don't think it's better than any of those in your deck.

Emzed thanks for the suggestions!

Prism Ring has been removed already, I just forgot to update it. I will have to do that later today. As for Perpetual Timepiece, I use it as graveyard recursion to shuffle my graveyard back into my library. It can also fuel Eternal Witness so I can potentially get more options of things to return to my hand. As far as Back to Nature goes, yes, it is there to hate on an enchantment deck in my playgroup.

I already have Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger on my radar and in collection, so he just needs to go in. And I have also added Spine of Ish Sah for more interaction. Song of the Dryads is hilarious and I forgot that existed, so I am getting that for sure. I also really like Duplicant.

I am testing Nissa, Voice of Zendikar at the moment for it's synergy with the landfall trigger from Avenger of Zendikar but I do agree there are better options, and she will most likely be put into my atraxa deck and be replaced with Garruk Wildspeaker.
