Azusa, Lost but Seeking (Competitive)

This is my competitively built Azusa, Lost but Seeking multiplayer EDH deck. Most of the Azusa lists have over 50 lands, but I have come to a conclusion that it's much better to replace some of the land cards with more card draw. Mono green decks are prone to run out of gas very quickly, especially decks like this one that can slam almost your whole hand to the table at turn 3.

This deck is basically a mono green combo deck. At early turns the plan is to get as much lands and other mana-accelration as possible to the board. At the same time you are trying to get some card draw engines so that you won't run out of gas. At around the turn 5 you should be able to win if your opponents don't have enough disruption. With this deck you shouldn't be afraid of getting countered when going for the kill. The deck has so much recursion you can easily get your stuuf back from the graveyard and try again. Just keep the pressure on, they will probably run ouyt of answers before you run out of wincons.

The most usual way to win with this deck is to cast Craterhoof Behemoth with bunch of creatures on your board. The best enablers for the hoof kills are Rude Awakening and Avenger of Zendikar. If your meta is control heavy try to get City of Solitude or Dosan of the Falling Leaf before going for the kill.

Some cool combos/synergies this deck has to offer:

Rude Awakening + Gaea's Cradle = Cradle only produces at least the amount of of your lands in mana (usually enough to cast Craterhoof Behemoth and attack with your untapped lands)

Abundance + Sylvan Library = Get 3 cards in your drawphase with no life loss (because you are replacing the draw with reveal, you don't have to put cards back with sylvan library)

Squirrel Nest + Earthcraft = Infinite 1/1 squirrels (all but one are tapped)

Staff of Domination + Gaea's Cradle + Magus of the Candelabra + 5 other creatures = Infinite green mana, infinite life and draw your whole deck

Survival of the Fittest + Genesis = Tutor creatures and return the discarded ones back to your hand

Gaea's Cradle + Deserted Temple + Candelabra of Tawnos + Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger + Mana Reflection = Combine at least some of these to get absurd amounts of mana (remember that Mana Reflection DOUBLES the mana generated, it becomes nuts with Cradle).

Crucible of Worlds + Azusa, Lost but Seeking + Strip Mine = Lock the table at the turn 2 earliest. Add Oracle of Mul Daya to make things even more difficult to your opponents.

Genesis Wave + Lots of mana = Can bring your wincons to the table easily. Akroma's Memorial and Concordant Crossroads give your stuff haste and usually youll get your wincons or enough resources the get your wincons right after the huge Genesis Wave

Rude Awakening + Shamanic Revelation = Draw stupid amount of cards.

Eye of Ugin + Any one of your two Eldrazis + Greater Good = Lots of value in longer games.

Cycle lands + Crucible of Worlds = Draw cards form cycling and play them later.

Cards/Synergies not at the moment included in deck (but worth considering):

Living Wish usually gets us some answers if there are threaths on the board you really need to get rid of. You can also get Kamahl, Fist of Krosa if you have huge amounts of mana but not enough creatures to kill anyone.

Cycle lands + Life from the Loam = Draw cards form cycling and play them later or cycle them again.

Updates Add

The release of Ramunap Excavator was the greatest thing for this deck in a long time. With our several creature tutors the deck is now much more consistent. I also made some minor tweaks to the list and will probably do some more in the near future.
