This is my discard deck themed around rats. I wanted to kill via loss of life and discard, so I didn't have to worry about damaging my opponents in combat. The problem with that is, without being able to force-feed them, I can't force discard after their hands are empty. With extra draw built in, the deck loses all efficacy, so instead I found a different approach. I discard a bit in early game to empty my opponent's hand, then punish them every turn for having an empty hand.

Quest for the Nihil Stone + Wrench Mind can get your required quest counters in 1 go. Cry of Contrition + Drainpipe Vermin can help you empty their hand by 3 if you keep 1 black mana available and your opponent dares attack you. If you have even 1 Liliana's Caress out, they'll be half dead at this point, and have an empty hand. Geth's Grimoire helps me fill my hand back up as I empty their's.

A full Quest for the Nihil Stone, Shrieking Affliction, and a flipped Stabwhisker the Odious can cause some very fast unavoidable life loss in a very short time. Painful Quandary just salts the wound, having to wait to cast any spells until they have a 2nd one to discard, and hope you don't make them discard before their next turn. (Losing 2 life for discarding is preferable to losing 5 from casting a spell, and that's if they can survive either option!)

Most of the rat creatures have some kind of discard mechanic built-in, some will help your defenses should you need to defend against a more aggressive deck.
