A: Speaking from experience, like 60% to 70% of the time. My deck's done well with Heirloom around, especially when it's flipped.

A: Depends. Average turn 10 for both aggro and control. It also depends if i have my core creatures out and heirloom. Burn cards in hand make it easy for me to win the game in a short period of time.

CapitonMurfish:

Neglected Heirloom  Flip: Test was actually first done on second Game Day, it helped quite the amount reverse burn type removal.

As for kill turn: Against a good opponent keeping up, it can take a normal game time. With no contest turn 4-5. If trample against normal opponent, turn 5-6. There isnt really a true consistency of killing in Magic. Unless you are playing Burn in Modern against zero life gain for example.

Scourge Wolf could also do a good work instead of Kessig. You won't get the second ability often, but first strike is already nice.

it doesn't go back in hand on Thing in the Ice  Flip flip too

AlCelestino: I use to run Scourge Wolf, didn't like it because of the double red turn 2 play. Some reason it was rare to achieve, because generally my second red source was a Cinder Glade that would be fine turn 3 (which is why I am okay with Breakneck Rider  Flip).

Magic always has a consistency. The way I use it is in through "Chaos Theory" or "controlled chaos". Yeah the character Jeff Goldblum played in jurassic park is a actual thing. Its much like playing chess on a rubics cube where you know your pieces in your deck, using those to solve a puzzle which is the opponents deck who is the factor of chaos since you don't know what exactly he going to do. Its where a player can utilize a deck their given and by looking at the parameters know which direction to take to make the most efficient plays to disturb the chaos or match the chaos with your own. I do this a lot especially when I end up borrowing someones deck just to play in tournament. I top 4 most of the time even of other people decks they let me borrow and haven't play tested other than asking some simple questions about it and thumbing through it one good time, some questions being " whats the most consistent kill turn".The theory can be used broadly over the course of a game or situationally per phase if your good enough at it. not to make this comment long, but its good stuff, make the game really very epic fun game when I run into a mathematician who knows what I'm pulling. research and try it in tournament if your just going for the win.

win in tournaments. Its unsatisfying playing like that casually on people

Your fine for the long response CapitonMurfish. In this current setting of when I play the deck the win ratio is roughly 76%. Which to me is good, in a perfect scenario you will kill an opponent almost all the time on turn 4-5. I don't play casually if that helps you understand my deck building methods through all my decks, I play to win.

This current meta of Green/Red wolves transitioned a lot from being just OK to pretty darn fast kill record. I play a ton of Zoo in modern so I built the deck to kill as fast as possible like my Zoo deck. My Zoo deck can get a person to 0 on turn 3 with perfect draws, turn 4 consistency though.

Every deck I bring to Tappedout I have tested in tournament settings and have won with it. I will never post a losing deck, because no one wants to see a losing deck.

In reality, specially in Standard. The formation of a "perfect" deck is no where to be seen. There is only good or bad. In this "Chaos Theory" you state it all being puzzle pieces. Puzzles need to be shaped and made by finding the right pieces in the first place. In Magic, you can have the most consistent winning deck around, the greatest of them all, however in someone else's hands (no matter how good of a player you are), you will not recreate the same mechanics that the original put into thought right away.

Some say Bant CoCo is the bees knees, however some say its terrible. Just like this Wolf deck for example, some dislike it because they play it wrong or have different tactics. Some like it because of own personal accord, even when telling people how to play a deck, it does not matter. They can be on two lands for 10 games straight and then complain "This deck is not consistent" and mix it with their own bad luck. I have actually had this happen with someone and blamed the deck instead of there shuffling.

I see no use in such discussions over "consistency" or "chaos theory". Every deck is a puzzle, but sometimes not all the pieces fall into place. Just like the opponents deck, the pieces in there deck might not conjoin as fast as yours or vice versa. No matter how many times I watch "Professionals" play, play myself or watch friends play; I always notice a singular entity that catches people off guard. The entity is known as Luck.

All games of Magic will always, no matter what you play, will have the luck factor. Unless of course you cheat, which don't ever cheat. Professionals lose not always to the better deck, but the luckiest of the two. Which deck just happens to complete its "Puzzle" first, if you would in this case.

I can say more, but at this point I feel like I am writing en Essay on Magic: Is Consistency Real? Or Just an Illusion of the Walkers. If it is, I blame Jace.

If it helps I have always been in the top 8 at my local and other shops that are even more "competitive" with such things as IQ's and Invitational Challenges.

The conclusion always comes to same to me. I do believe in the Chaos Theory, but I believe Magic as a Luck Theory.

Also in my first comment: you're* lol, auto correct kicks me in the butt sometimes.

BlueEyes, the deck I made herehttp://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/you-what-now-turn-4-eldrazi-championsfinished/seems to beat your 50/50 or even has a slight advantage when side-boarded. I don't have much credit on tappedout yet, so it doesn't get much attention. If you were to further improve my deck, what would you include/exclude?

I would drop the Kessig Forgemaster  Flip and put in Tireless Tracker instead for a much more valuable, though non-were / wolf, creature. His ability to grow while gaining you card advantage totally makes up for him not being a werewolf imo.

Jallious: I don't have any Eldrazi Players in my Meta, so I can understand how your deck would start to trump mine. I will take a look at it.

Noctem: I have them, but dropping a two drop for another 3 drop has more potential of screwing the mana curving. If anything thats why I have Sin Prodder in the sideboard, for card advantage, because some times I do side out Howlpack Resurgence.

BlueEyes I made some changes after Game Day and it looks like some of them are similar to yours. Decided to run those Collected Company. I suffered badly from mill and removal. Languish kicked my ass, and a guys Altered Ego took my flipped Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip and beat me in the face with it. Plenty of it is my own ability, but we do have some good players and strong decks at my LGS. Still had fun and will continue revising. Can't wait for something a bit better than Lambholt Pacifist  Flip. Thanks again.

i am actually interested in the ruling on that Altered Ego because it still has the two cast flip back.

Glad you had fun, Languish is why i have so much pumping. Get over 4 toughness asap. Same for the walkers.

Blue eyesI read your comment. I was kinda trying to reframe from writing a essay myself. For the most part your right, but I don't particularly think it's always just luck matched with skill. It fitting a situation to a unpredictable purpose. Now yes if your deck straight up lacks the necessity to play a game , but I've even top 8ed with pre built store bought decks where I would make one change of a 4 of make all the difference. Again knowing the parameters equal to a higher of working with chaos instead of against it.

May 4, 2016 9:55 p.m.

In short you have a good deck I plan to pilot it for fnm because it's something different to try. My question was just one of many I wanted to know before I put it together. I'll figure the rest out later as I will only have time to put it together just before toure.. I won't have time to test it so just like other decks I borrow I won't have time to playtest. I play of the fly with the pieces I'm given with chaos theory.

I can agree to that, its also fun too 8ing with store bought deck. To be fair there are som decent event decks lol

CapitonMurfish: If you have anymore questions please be my guest and ask. I will give more direct responses this time, now that I understand your style.

May 4, 2016 11:07 p.m.

cool bro, will do, but for now I'm gonna gather my resources and see if I can even get most of these cards. Other than winning in FNMS I haven't really bought much into this set. There will mostly likely be some changes just because I won't get all the cards in time. I'll let you know and let you know how it goes.

Sounds good to me, I am actually removing the Evolving Wilds because some cases it puts off a turn. Which is bad.

I'd like to put 1 Westvale Abbey  Flip in the deck just because it saved me a few times.Do you think that it could work without bothering the first turns? And what would you replace ? a mountain or a forest ?

May 5, 2016 11:21 a.m.

I would have to think about it, many times I already win before reaching 5 creatures. I do have some tokem generation, so it would work.
