Nice I wanna build this and try it myself although I think Bark at the Moon by Ozzy Osborne is more fitting lol.

mtmlsandman: I was considering that actually, but then I remembered the meaning of the Maroon 5 song... And it felt fitting in this type of deck lol. Maybe when I make a modern version, I will use that.

Although I'm curious how strong is this against a raging vampires deck?

I personally have yet to have an issue with Vampire themed decks. They have great removal, but this deck builds back up at a decent rate and if you are spending all your time removing my creatures, chances are you lost.

Thats why I enjoy this deck so much, almost all good removal is sorcery speed and this deck contains great haste AND gets out of range of Fiery Temper, Lightning Axe etc etc fairly quickly.

I played nearly the same deck on game day and got destroyed. Granted, I'm probably playing it poorly, but what do you do about get out-aggro'd early?

BlueEyes says... #7

My side for gameday had much more removal. Generally (such as mono white) i would win through card advantage and removal.

dradtheexhaler: Here is a sideboard if you are experiencing issues with being "out aggro'd".

3x Dual Shot - Takes care those pesky high power low toughness creatures. Also goes wide when mixed with Silverfur Partisan+ any wolf that will live.

3xKozilek's Return- Really punishes people who think going to wide too quick without buffing the team is a good idea. Also great against Token decks.

2x Clip Wings: Situational, helps pesky flyers no more.

3x Atarka's Command: Reach for defense and gain board presence through value blocking, Stops life gain and over all powerhouse.

1x Moonlight Hunt (can be replaced if you dont run 4x mainboard): Great removal, even against giant threats and etb trigger enemies like Archangel Avacyn  Flip.

2-3xFiery Temper: No discard effect accept for Lightning Axe, but great way to deal with threats that out reach Kozilek's Return

2-3xLightning Axe: A good amount of time you will have excess land through the game and are willing to part with it. Also works well with Fiery Temper for early regains.

Hope you find this useful, if you any questions please. Feel free to ask away.

Im making a Wolf deck too, and ive fidfled some with a Coco in proxy, it just doesnt Seem to fit, only if u go the Zada route and go for a Big swing with a pump. But even Then it doesnt take much to stop it.

I really like this version, but I now have to get 4 coco...My money doesn't like you.

I would mainboard 1 or 2 Atarka's Command and take out 1 or 2 Geier Reach Bandit  Flip, also, you should use 2 or 3 Neglected Heirloom  Flip, I have playtested them in a simmilar deck, and they work very well

May 7, 2016 9:48 a.m.

I still love the deck, but I am not sure I agree with some of these changes as it completely changes the focus of this deck (unless that was your intent and in that case nvm). I personally think werewolves want to be on the fast beatdown path, as they struggle to scale into the late game with some of the more powerful decks. The removal of Neglected Heirloom  Flip and Howlpack Resurgence are huge losses IMO because those are the cards which give you explosive turns and allow you to sneak damage through. Plus it becomes much more difficult to attack with Lambholt Pacifist  Flip. I do like the inclusion of CoCo though as you can then essentially just play your werewolves on your opponent's turn and sit back on your own turn (though for budget, Evolutionary Leap is still great). I am curious to hear about how your playtesting with this version goes.

Vejhi: CoCo is what makes it good, the ZADAfur version is a different deck entirely.

AlCelestino: The other version of the deck is still strong mate! lol

leedognight: Losing Geier Reach Bandit  Flip is a big nono. The whole combo for CoCo version, beside the beat downs, is turn 3 Geier Reach Bandit  Flip. turn 4 pass, flips, CoCo end step for free flipped wolves, swing over 30 with trample. Which I did 3 times at FNM last night, other than that i was just massive beat downs.

Hi_diddly_ho_neighbor: I am actually enjoying it a lot, both versions seem to have strengths and weaknesses. The big thing I am seeing currently while testing, is that the CoCo version has more speed, while the Neglected Heirloom  Flip version needs more reliability. I will probably remake the "Budget" version in a different new name side deck. That way people can still see it, but for now I am enjoying CoCo. Here is a list of events of what happened in last nights FNM.

1) Three wolves on board, opponent decides to Anguished Unmaking a flipped Geier Reach Bandit  Flip (which was smart), except I had CoCo mana up. CoCo turned into another Geier Reach Bandit  Flip and Silverfur Partisan+ now a free token.

2) Against a life gain deck. Had a Lambholt Pacifist  Flip and Breakneck Rider  Flip out by turn 3. (sadly no messenger). Passed turn 4, they flipped. CoCo'd into Lambholt Pacifist  Flip and Breakneck Rider  Flip, then drew into Geier Reach Bandit  Flip. Swung for a lot with trample thanks to Breakneck Rider  Flip flip.

3) Got Languished turn 4 while Nissa, Voice of Zendikar on board with 4 counters because plants and wolves. My turn 4 (I was on draw this game) drew into Arlinn Kord  Flip, made some more tokens. Now getting ready for the beats, Anguished Unmaking on Arlinn Kord  Flip. Still had CoCo in hand. Turn 5 rolls around, I play a risk a dump my hand of 2x Village Messenger  Flip and 1x Geier Reach Bandit  Flip since 1 of the 3 possible Languishis gone, unless his list is has a 4th. Minus 2 nissa for counters on them. Swing freely. He played Dragonlord Silumgar, stealing Nissa, Voice of Zendikar. Now turn 6, 6 Mana out, Collected Company and Moonlight Hunt in hand. CoCo into Geier Reach Bandit  Flipx2 (lol), Moonlight Hunt Dragonlord Silumgar, getting back my Nissa, Voice of Zendikar minus 2, swing in for lethal, even if he blocks with the 0/1 plant he so kindly upped my Nissa, Voice of Zendikar for.

AndyReveler: You no like :(?

AndyReveler says... #17

no, I'm actually really liking the changes, I'm seriously just wondering how well it does. I'm still skeptical on arlinn, but Nissa I like.

I'm also happy to see 26 creatures because I just don't like the 20 creature version. sin prodder is a great nonwerewolf card making Nissa over howlpack a better suggestion

Many keep saying Arlinn Kord  Flip is sideboard material, I am begginning to agree. Just curious what to put in.

I tested it out a lot at FNM and today. It runs so much smoother and much of the time I side Arlinn Kord  Flip out unless its against control.

Needs more testing and thought.

May 7, 2016 5:47 p.m.

AndyReveler says... #20

arlinn is just not the best in a creature heavy aggressive deck and I'm sure most people testing say the same thing. I'm playing Jund midrange and arlinn shines a lot more there with fewer creatures and more control elements.

Arlinn Kord  Flip is hit or miss for me. I'm not saying she sucks, but she's like a Win-Con in my deck that I'd like to have but not rely on, you know what I mean?

May 7, 2016 11:12 p.m.

AndyReveler says... #22

I wouldn't call her a win-con. Chandra and Sorin are win cons, hell I've lost too Gideon too, but Arlinn...Arlinn not so much

May 7, 2016 11:36 p.m.

BlueEyes says... #23

I agree Gideon, Ally of Zendikar+Nissa, Voice of Zendikar are a force to be have. They win games them selves big time, and build armies quick. Arlinn Kord  Flip is fun, she can win, but because she can't make tokens every turn or deal damage every turn...She becomes lack luster. I still enjoy her in standard and as a 1 of in my jund modern deck. Other than that, I really hope something makes her better in the future. I still need to find a replacement for her in the CoCo variant...I even considered switching Nissa's and getting the magic origins one.

I play Arlinn Kord  Flip in a Naya Tokens deck Naya Tokens w/ Silverfur Partisan and I must say it is also a build that she fits in. I played her in an aggresive werewolves deck before (As a four of which was kinda crazy) and her performance was kust weak. In a tokens deck u have a clear strategy usually how to use her. You +1 when she enters the battlefield and you flip her. Then you just start abusing her mini-overrun and if you account the anthem effects Gideon and Nissa give you it is just amazing. Of course she is only a two of cause Gideon is still better. One other thing I saw when testing is that opponents are usually quite afraid of her and tend to use their removal a lot.

But yeah Arlinn is weaker than I thought she would be. When the spoilers came out I was hyped. Right now not so much but she still does the work for me. Hopefully Eldritch Moon will make her playable and strong as she deserves to be.

kamerask: I was considering a Naya tokens build with her, thanks for the link. I will check it out.
