I run this when ever my friend decides to run his golgri mid-range, I own his 600$ deck every time, I think I should stop...lol. I do keep costs as low as possible, the trick is findin cards that work and don't cost more than 5...

I made an exception for shadow slice because of what it does. It's very much worth the life lost.
If anyone can find a decent card or two to swap-in that would be great.

If you're worried about Shadow Slice 's cmc, go with cheap equips. Tormentor's Trident is cheaper than Shadow Slice , and amounts to three extra life dealt each turn. And honestly, you'll probably be attacking each turn anyways. And definitely add extra Silver-Inlaid Dagger s. It's even cheaper!

The thing with "Cipher" cards is that they imprint to one creature till it dies, keyrunes included, things like artifacts and auras are easily removed/destroyed/exiled.
Tormentor's Trident is definitely a good suggestion as an alternative against things like Witchbane Orb . so its good side-board material.
If anything, I need to figure out a way to complement Hands of Binding for board control.

I would add a couple Nephalia Drownyard for starters, a staple for any mill deck and even if you dont intend to mill your opponent down it at least gives you another threat. Plus you are already running the colours for it so you might as well have a couple in there.
I would look at cutting the keyrunes. I think you already have the mana you need and enough unblockables.
Maybe look at Consuming Aberration though if you do that I would also look at sideboarding Duskmantle Seer . The Seer is good but if the person you are playing doesnt have many higher cost cards then its not going to be effective and you really dont want them drawing that Supreme Verdict any faster. Main boarding the Cyclonic Rift might also be a good idea, I know that just bouncing a card isnt always the best but if its bounce a mana dork instead of them casting something else then that can be helpful, or if they have a artifact they are relying on for mana fixing you can bounce that and at least delay a turn when you might have another answer for what they are casting.

Nephalia Drownyard I might add, but I'm not sure about adding mill cards or doing a full conversion, Dimir Keyrune gets around the board wipes like Supreme Verdict and I can cipher on to them,...
besides, against ESPER decks I would mainboard Duress just in case .he reveals something like a Supreme Verdict , relevation or something just as O.P.

Shadow Slice is almost the same as giving your creature +3/0. I'd add Butcher's Cleaver so you get lifelike from Invisible Stalker .

myllyes, yes this is true, these are very effective once you get them out, however, the hard part is getting them out there. Silver-Inlaid Dagger does the same thing for humans minus the lifelink at half the overall cost. even then its simply too slow for standard, atleast for the local meta it is.

I have a deck sorta like this:
I'm not sure why you have Consuming Aberration side boarded. Every cipher and copy you cast activates his ability so you really start milling them when that happens.

@ Lord007 the reason I have Consuming Aberration in the side-board is so my opponent doesn't see him coming game2 so he most likely wont be a target for Slaughter Games and the like.

Consuming Aberration is awesome and Hidden Strings is great for mana.

This isn't standard, Woodland Cemetery rotated out.
You want Overgrown Tomb which is standard.

other than that, what do you think of the deck Magiclover318?

Love it, this is the one deck where I like Voyaging Satyr more than Sylvan Caryatid haha :D Rather then Devour Flesh I would recommend using Abrupt Decay since they don't gain life then.
+1 from me :D
Check out my Golgari?

Golgari Charm is always good. Taking out enchantments is really valuable, and the -1/-1 kills Monoblue decks.

oooooh, that is DIRTY!!!!!! I like that alot, I can grab my opponents creatures with it!!!!!!!!
January 12, 2014 3:14 p.m.
ya i know.... I LOVE IT!
you got alot of "kill creature spells" in here... works well i think...
I just made my own deck with Reaper of the Wilds and Grim Return in it...
check it out Back from the Edge! ... I would love some ideas for it...
January 12, 2014 4:06 p.m.
I would drop Voyaging Satyr for Sylvan Caryatid if you can, unless you're just using it to untap Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx in which Case I would drop the Elvish Mystic for it. The one drop thing is nice, I just like having Hexproof on turn 2 a lot more :)

then I wouldn't have ANY turn one drops and have my plays delayed by a whole turn...

What would you be playing on turn 2 that requires 3 or more mana? I just don't see it.

Nice deck there. I'm actually running a deck similar to yours, but it uses Delver of Secrets Flip. If you are going to use Duskmantle Seer, then keep your mana costs as low as possible, most likely your highest should be 4.
If you got time, why not look at my Dimir control deck. Here's the link: U/B D-Seer - Talrand Control http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/ub-d-seer-talrand-control/
