Only change was trying a second WSW in place of a Hornet Queen. Addition of Champion allows to get WSW easier. Weighing adding a 3rd & really going all in on WSW/Terror as x6.

After a few suggestions I added the rough draft of a sideboard. Really focused on control decks & the breach decks. Also replaced Questing Beast with Champion of Rhonas (Thanks Darth Savage for the tech) to help support boar god. Also added a siege commander in place of one Atarka. Trying out different options there. Could end up making it two commanders & cutting a second hornet Queen to prevent too much log jam at 7CC spot.
Now I continue make small vigil at home and pray to my Fallen Empire Thallids that soon I'll get another 1cc creature search.

Not a deck tech update but a buddy taunted me with how perfect Once Upon A Time would have fit this deck and now I'm super sad. It truly could have made this tier 1.5. Then again thats why OUAT is about to get banned in most formats. Fingers crossed for my 1CC creature search in Ikoria.

First, this deck is tons of fun & has allowed me to call myself a "Planeswalking Negan" cause I beat folks over the head with a baseball bat wrapped in bacon!
Testing allowed to see a lot of definition for the deck. This isn't a true ramp deck. It's really a combo deck. Focus needs to be not on getting to just a certain mana pt quickly but also having the key pieces. When deckbuilding always have to remember the mana dorks are squishy lands in the combo pieces this allows for cutting lands down to 21. It's all about Gen servant on Turn 2 & 5 mana plus boar on turn 3. Keeping that in mind plus some play led to the changes.
Duskwatch Recruiter was too clunky & when it's not flipped to the side you want to use it becomes very frustrating. So he made the early cut. Gather the Pack fits the slot better. Also pairs nice with addition of Grapple (Thoughtseize protection). Now we have 12 search options in the first two turns to find pieces.
If Ikoria or a future set adds another 1cc search card like Incubation or Adventurous Impulse then this deck gets WAY better. So much so I'd probably drop down to 1 Atarka & 1 Hornet Queen to switch out my 4 2CC searches (Grapple becomes SB) & upgrade to 8 mana dorks. Also with this much search & low end mana, I'd even consider dropping to 20 (or a suicide 19). Again this deck's main purpose is 2 red producing lands & a 3rd mana source plus Gen Serv, Boar God, & either WSW/Terror.
Chandra ends up being a better option than Domri. Dom gives riot but Chandra offers card draw plus crowd control. The mana option is helpful if you get stuck hardcasting your 7CC monsters.
Questing Beast slots in as a mid-range toolbox card. It can help stabilize & buy turns if cast on turn 3 (meaning you didn't have the combo). This is probably the weakest spot in the deck and is looking for an upgrade. PLEASE ANY IDEAS, SUGGESTIONS, or THOUGHTS welcomed here.
Deck is a combo cannon style deck but the turn 3 kills def catch folks. It needs upgrades that are yet to printed (slots 9-12 1cc search card) but I enjoy the potential. Will be sleeving this for a bit at the LGS & maybe even spike a regional tourny that isn't prepped for it.
No Sideboard yet but I'll sling one together eventually.

So I've been kicking around ideas for Pioneer. Haven't really dived in while all the bannings were going on. Now that the format is settling, I decided to try out this build. I like Boar-God in Legacy. I've even played a very slow version in Standard. Pioneer seems to have a niche that if you can kill on turn 3 then a deck can pick up a lot of free wins.
Death by Bacon is pretty easy 1-2-3 ramp combo deck. The goal is to get a swinging Boar on turn 3 with generator servant. Very simple you want three lands, a servant, a boar, and either WSW or Terror in your hand by turn 3. When you swing with boar & drop either terror or WSW you're putting 20+ dmg on the board with trample or evasion. Not a lot of decks can absorb that on turn 3.
Standard ramp package to back it up. I cut down to 6 mana dorks cause generator will boost too. Duskwatch is a good way to find missing pieces or when he's flipped like a global mana dork with his discount.
Using Impluse & incubation as turn 1 plays to get my pieces. Otherwise just on the ramp plan with dorks & duskwatch. Shared summons helps go get those combo pieces if you really strike out in early turns.
Domri helps find pieces & is a back up generator servant (Haste & ramp).
All non-boars are bombs with situational bonuses. Mana-base is pretty stock for RG ramp.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Looking to start testing soon
