Why Ilharg?

1: Who could possibly say "no" to the thought of Sneak Attack on a stick, or the thought of being able to serve your opponents a Bacon-and-Blightsteel knuckle sandwich as early as turn 2 or 3?

2: Once Ilharg is out, the only real ways to remove him from the battlefield are via cards like Darksteel Mutation or Terminus. Even when he is exiled or removed, the fact that he's only the third card from the top means that I can simply recast him in 3 turns, all while avoiding the commander tax.

3: He just makes my inner Timmy make happy monkey noises when I cast him.

So, the main objective of this deck is pretty straightforward: Ramp out Ilharg, the Raze-Boar ASAP, preferably with haste-givers like Generator Servant or Hall of the Bandit Lord (and maybe with either Cavern of Souls or Red Elemental Blast if your opponents are running blue), swing with Ilharg, and crap out either:

1: A creature with an ETB effect (Spawn of Thraxes, Meteor Golem, Combustible Gearhulk, Duplicant, etc.),

2: A creature with a combat damage effect (Balefire Dragon, Steel Hellkite, Hellkite Tyrant, etc.),

3: A creature that can boost Ilharg's damage output for the attack (Angrath's Marauders, Avatar of Slaughter, Terror of Mount Velus, etc.)

4: One of the combo pieces for Aggravated Assault + Neheb, the Eternal or Godo, Bandit Warlord + Helm of the Host ,

or 5: Just a good old-fashioned, Timmy-style, game-ending beatstick (Blightsteel Colossus, Malignus).

If Ilharg's cost gets too unmanageable, Sneak Attack, Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded, and Feldon of the Third Path can serve in his absence.
