Other things that come to mind are Spirit Loop, Assault Strobe, and Temur Battle Rage.

I'm sure you've probably had this suggested already, but if you want to make it so you can deal even more damage and gain even more life, you would be crazy not to run Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, as she doubles damage dealt to your opponents but halves the damage dealt to you and, when it inevitably is targeted by removal, just sacrifice her to Brion's ability to hit the opponent in the face. Other than that, Gift of Immortality is an excellent way to keep bringing back the creatures that you intend/have to sacrifice to Brion every turn.
Also, it's a bit boring but I would recommend Staff of Nin just to get some decent card draw in there, as there isn't much in the way of that in Boros colours.

This is a cool take on Brion. I would add Chromatic Lantern since this list is really red mana symbol heavy. As another win con that is also on theme and sorta budget friendly, Insurrection is a good finisher.

The one real problem in the deck i see is the lack of card draw. A Staff of Nin, Howling Mine or even a Mind's Eye would work wonders in the deck if you're willing to get some extra card draw. Especially if someone plays a Consecrated Sphinx while you have a mind's eye!

Shockwave115, Atavistic, Permafrost, Workman4137 Thank you all sooooo much!
Shockwave: Thanks for all the insight! Of your suggestions Avarice Amulet will be squeezed in and Chandra's Ignition is under consideration! The creatures you suggest may find their way in, but I don't know what to cut. Gift of Immortality may also find it's way BACK in haha! Thanks again for the tips and hope to see you again!
Atavistic: Welcome! Gisela always seemed overpriced to me... both mana and $$$. Still, she's good and I'll give her a second look. Gift of Immortality may come back in... Not sure where though. Staff of Nin Looks good. Just wish is wasn't 6 mana. Thanks for the advice!
Permafrost: Thanks for the comment! Chromatic Lantern is over budget(if only by a little) and isn't really necessary, I always seem to have what I need with the rare exception. But since it's strictly better than some of the stuff I have in here, it will go in when I upgrade the deck eventually! Insurrection is neat but my meta has a LOT of boardwipes(sliver player...yikes) and Homeward Paths so it's only useful half of the time. Thanks a lot!
Workman: Welcome back! Lots of repeat costumers here haha! Card draw hasn't been a huge problem(Well of Lost Dreams saves lives), but you're right, there isn't enough. Staff of Nin and Avarice Amulet are going in I think so that'll clear that up! Thank you!
Again, one final thank you to all you guys! Keep the comment coming!

Would you mind if I leave a link to this deck in my primer? I think it'll be really beneficial for people to see a budget friendly Brion and I always love seeing different takes on my favorite commander!

Here are my suggestions and some recommended removals to tighten the deck. Molten Primordial, Lifeline, Assault Suit, Recruiter of the Guard, Solemn Simulacrum, Burnished Hart, Infiltration Lens, 2x Plains (36 lands should be your minimum despite your mana rocks in order to consistently get to 4 lands by turn 4), Rage Nimbus, Master Warcraft, Nim Deathmantle, Thornbite Staff, Umbral Mantle, Helm of Possession, Anarchist, Illusionist's Bracers, Caged Sun, Gilded Lotus, Rugged Prairie, Iroas, God of Victory, Obsidian Battle-Axe, Mob Rule, Savage Beating, Adarkar Valkyrie, Karmic Guide
Suggestions to remove:
- Felidar Sovereign is a boring and abusive way to win giving the starting life total and doesn't contribute much else to the deck
- Silverblade Paladin because double strike just isn't that important to this deck
- Armillary Sphere
- Sunforger because you need a greater critical mass of instants to make it really valuable and you can remove it and some of the other cards to make room for more consistent playable cards
- Fatal Frenzy
- Onward / Victory
- Rush of Blood
- Temur Battle Rage
- Unwilling Recruit
- Insult / Injury
- Kari Zev's Expertise
- Hazoret's Favor
- Spirit Loop
- Open the Armory
- Staff of Nin
Clean up repetitious cards in sideboard and maybeboard that are in the deck. Best of luck, hope some of that is helpful.

With the amount of basics you are running, Terrain Generator can be a good way to get them onto the battlefield faster. Also, Terramorphic Expanse is a nice second copy of E wilds as well. Additionally, Bloodmad Vampire could be a nice way to build up power to fling at your opponents with Brion. Not used to working on a budget, so hope my comment helps! Like the deck though!

RingoDingo92 thanks for the suggestion! I've definitely considered him as he'd hit about 25% of my deck. Thanks!
Fergernuggets Thanks for stopping by! Terrain Generator might be a good replacement for Armillary Sphere. Bloodmad Vampire might be good, but he's too easy to block I think. Thanks!
EternalBrewmaster I'm so very grateful that you took the time to make that list! And cut suggestions! I love you! A few follow up questions so I can get a better understanding of your reasoning:
Why Rage Nimbus exactly? I get that it can kill some annoying creatures and is 5 power for 3 mana, but is he really a good fit for what this deck is doing? And what other cards can work well with him?
From my experience, I'd never have enough mana for Nim Deathmantle to work. Is it worth the $6?(super budget player, I know)
Helm of Possession is awesome but what creatures do I have to sacrifice? I'm always sacking them to Brion.
What exactly is wrong with Armillary Sphere, and Open the Armory? Are they just sub-par?
Do you have a good card draw engine to replace Staff of Nin?
How many cards is a critical mass for Sunforger? Just out of curiosity.
Also what to you think of Neheb, the Eternal being in here?
What do you think of the more expensive cards I want to add? Sneak Attack, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Phyrexian Dreadnought?
Otherwise, I love all of your suggestions! Some are counted out do to budget but most are under consideration! Again Thank you so much for your help!

Rage Nimbus is definitely low priority but it's a great way to force your opponents to run their creatures into each other and leave themselves more open for you. There are probably just better options like Avatar of Slaughter. If you add more mana ramp in the form of some of my other suggestions and Gilded Lotus, Caged Sun, Gauntlet of Power, and Thran Dynamo you should have enough mana for Nim Deathmantle. Definitely you should have Neheb, the Eternal in the deck, and he would also contribute to making the Deathmantle amazing. If you are really tight for budget then yeah, stay away from the deathmantle for now. For Helm of Possession, the point is that Brion might get killed, or become too expensive to cast and you just have a bunch of Ball Lightning creatures that don't do anything so the Helm is another way to turn them into value by stealing other people's creatures. Armillary Sphere isn't actually ramp since it puts them in your hand; just play cards that put them into play instead and that you may be able to reuse, like Burnished Hart. I forgot to mention Sun Titan, but he should absolutely be in here, given that so many of your dudes that come in to smash and die are 3 CMC or less. Infiltration Lens is what I suggest to replace Staff of Nin. It works perfectly in your deck's plan and is super cheap. Combine it with Nemesis Mask for all the cards. For Sunforger you should generally be building the deck around it in the first place, or playing at least 10 targets and Mistveil Plains. Of all the cards I recommended, Lifeline is definitely the most important. I would say no to Sneak Attack and Kiki-Jiki, they're too expensive for the effects without saving you much in this deck. Dreadnought is interesting though.

YamishiTheWickedOne Brion has always reminded me of Dain Ironfoot from the Hobbit movie/book. Scottish accent, but still.
EternalBrewmaster thanks for allowing me the follow up! I picked up a few cards from my LGS yesterday, including Recruiter of the Guard, which was my favorite of your suggestions. Thank you! One last thing if I may: do you know of any other EDH masters who could help me out with this deck? I love getting opinions of people who have been playing the longest, thought you'd know a few. Thanks again for all your help!

The best people to ask are the ones who you see regularly at the top of the charts on the TO home page. I won't name drop them because it's not my place to offer up other people's time, but if you search them out and ask them, I'm sure some of them would respond. Best of luck.

So fair warning this is just the ramblings of a man whose never really played with or against Brion, but I wondered what you thought of Magewright's Stone and Thousand-Year Elixir. Also provided the copy remembers the sacced creatures power (it should but I don't know for sure) Illusionist's Bracers makes for twice the flinging fun. Also for more generic type suggestions Land Tax is always nice if you find yourself short, and (depending how you feel about tutors) Enlightened Tutor can always help find some answers or some umph.

EternalBrewmaster I know I've thanked you a thousand times but here's one more- Thank you! Hope to talk to you again!
jwe94 I like ramblings! I like suggestions from non-Brion players... you can get some really out-of-the-box suggestions.
The Stone and Elixir are nice, they just don't do enough for me. They only help Brion and Feldon of the Third Path and cost to much money wise. As for the Bracers-wait, that actually works? One sacrifice, double damage? Hell I'm putting it in right now! Land Tax and the tutor are great. On the list of possible upgrades if I ever decide to go crazy with this deck.

Nice deck :)
A few suggestions:
I agree with the previous poster about increasing land count to 36 (minimum) for consistency. Also agree that Sunforger can go. Your deck just isn't instant heavy (nor should it be since you are flinging creatures)
You may wanna consider Emeria Shepherd as another recursion engine.
I will add my voice to suggesting Nim Deathmantle, Molten Primordial, and Sun Titan
I would also consider a damage doubler like Dictate of the Twin Gods. Yes, it is risky but you are an aggro deck trying to burn people fast. Also, it can be flashed in on an opponent's end step to reduce its risk.
Do you want the tucking boardwipes? If you focus more on creature recursion you want creatures going to the grave. Blasphemous Act and Fumigate may be better options.
August 11, 2017 10:17 p.m.
A few more suggestions/questions. What do you think of Flayer of the Hatebound? True it doesn't shine without lots of recursion but the whole fling, trigger, burn and fling again is cute. Also Deathrender and Scythe of the Wretched seem like good equipment for Brion and friends. Jar of Eyeballs could be a decent way to do a little digging, thoughts? Finally they've got quite the mana costs but Stalking Vengeance and Vicious Shadows are pretty intriguing.

I can see something like Bonehoard being really good here as you can sac for tons of damage and it only gets bigger as you do that, Moltensteel Dragon also fells like it has great potential in this deck especially if you played something like Neheb, the Eternal or any other mana combos (with a combo like this you could also use Steel Hellkite; or even Phyrexian Unlife if you are going for a final kill with it. Pyrohemia also feels like it could find a home here, as could Chandra, Torch of Defiance.
Other than that the deck looks solid and has a great idea behind it, if there is a more specific area you want feedback on let me know and I'm happy to help.
Shockwave115 says... #1
This deck seems sweet! I really like the Sundial of the Infinite use to get around having to sac creatures on your end step.
It seems like your build revolves pretty heavily around Brion so I would consider maybe adding another card or two to your protection package. Whispersilk Cloak, and Gift of Immortality are a few cheap ways to keep your commander alive and flinging. Hoarding Dragon could also help you with either tutoring out one of these effects or any other artifact you might need situationaly.
Taurean Mauler and Sunscorch Regent are both budget options that will be guaranteed threats that your opponents will have to either deal with or die to.
Card draw is obviously a hard thing to keep consistent in Boros but Avarice Amulet could be another budget option that offers consistent card draw, gives Brion a small damage increase which will also gain you more life, and gives vigilance which means you can swing with Brion for 6 with lifelink and still fling something after. The downside of, "When equipped creature dies, target opponent gains control of Avarice Amulet" will never actually matter if you equip it to Brion because since you'll be putting him back in the command zone he never actually dies
My final recommendation is Chandra's Ignition. This card is completely ridiculous with Brion Stoutarm because if you use it on him your opponents and all other creatures on the field all take 4 damage and since Brion Stoutarm is dealing the damage and he has lifelink you also gain 4 life for every player and creature hit. If you're in a 4 person commander game and there are only 6 other creatures on the field across all players you would gain 40 life!
All in all this deck is awesome and I really appreciate you checking out my primer, +1 from me!
