What about Stitcher's Graft? Equip a creature, attack with it. Even if it get's blocked you can throw it before damage step and if not blocked it doubles your damage output on that creature. Rinse and repeat.

Lands that let you pay life to make any color of mana (white and red) seem good here: Mana Confluence, City of Brass and Tarnished Citadel. You're gaining life with your Commander use that life to better your manabase. Aren't these lands better than playing come into play tapped lands like Guidgate, Crag? Even Basics?

You're playing a lot of equipment, consider Stoneforge Mystic to tutor for them? Especially Skullclamp which seems nuts with your strategy.

baynne thanks for the comment! Stitcher's Graft looks cool. I may test it out! Thanks!

multimedia thanks for the suggestions! I have a Mana Confluence so I think I'll throw that in, I guess I'll think about the other two. Stoneforge Mystic is new to the list of possible upgrades since I recently added all those equipment. My problem with her so far is that the majority of my equipment are very low cost, weakening her second ability. So she ends up being a $15 Open the Armory. Thanks again!

Hey Champ. I think you've come to the wrong place if you're looking for an "EDH Master," but I was happy to check out this very cool deck.

Here are my initial thoughts:

Put in some more recursion! I don't know how fast you're hoping to win these games, but I think a little more resilience could go a long way. Sun Titan is obviously amazing, but the infamous Reveillark/Karmic Guide duo could do a lot of work here.

I know a lot of your creatures have haste baked in, but I still think some enablers are sorely missing from this build as well. With how central Brion is to your strategy, you want to be able to pop him the turn he comes down. Fervor is a classic and cheap (if not flashy) option. If you want it on a big body, you could add Urabrask the Hidden. Vedalken Orrery is a way of granting "psuedo-haste" as well, plus a generally strong EDH card.

As for cuts, I think Phyrexian Devourer seems really underwhelming and Impetuous Devils are a bit overcosted compared to creatures with similar effects. Infiltration Lens seems too easy to play around, and Darksteel Ingot is overcosted for a two color deck that doesn't care about artifacts.

I'd be interested to hear how Lifeline plays for you, but it seems way too dangerous of a symmetrical effect to run from my standpoint. Other decks with a more robust sac engine would abuse this far worse than you can saccing one creature a turn. Speaking of which, a few extra sac outlets are the final, super critical piece of advice I'd add. Ashnod's Altar and High Market, or, if you can afford them, Phyrexian Altar and Miren, the Moaning Well/Diamond Valley would do work for you.

Hope some of this is helpful to you! I run a lot of haste enabling and sacrifice outlets in your colors in my Hazezon Tamar deck (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/hazezon-house-atreides-dune-inspired-edh/), so take a peek at that for some inspiration too.

Happy Commandering!

Have you thought about Insult / Injury as a chance to really double everything for a big turn. Or Gisela, Blade of Goldnight to double damage and reduce what you take by half. For card draw Wheel of Fortune, Reforge the Soul, or Magus of the Wheel would work well. There is also the possiblity of running cards that would steel creatures from your opponents and give them haste then fling them at them to deal major damage.

Stoneforge may look like a $15 Open the Armory, but she's much more than that because being competitive is all about the little advantages you can squeeze out of a card. Stoneforge can tutor and be a body to equip too which is huge for only two mana. She's essentially two cards, one of which you tutor for, for two mana which is great value. She can also be recurred with Sun Titan or Gift of Immortality as a repeatable tutor for equipment. Most of the time you're not going to want to recur her instead something else, but having the possibility to and get a another card out of it is an advantage. Of course if equipment isn't really important then $15 can be spent in a lot of other ways.

Good luck with your deck.

stewa238 I use the fling method myself. One of the most satisfying moments was flinging Oketra the True lol. No it's not a lot of damage but it is great watching her go away. Against decks that like big creatures it is a lot of fun to play.

VietMoneys thanks for coming! Haha everyone's a master compared to me!

Been trying to squeze in more recursion. Karmic Guide is on the list!

Never felt a real need for more haste. Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves cover me pretty well, especially now that I have more tutors for them.

Thanks for cut suggestions! The Devourer I just put in and is a win-con if I have 7 mana. Haven't tested it to say if its good or not. Infiltration Lens is there because my opponents will have to block eventually, or else take damage from the creature and from the sack. I agree about the Devils and the Ingot though. Thanks!

Yeah Lifeline is an interesting one. Haven't been able to test it yet but I'll let you know. The alter and the Market are good ideas, especially because I'm adding more mass steal effects soon, like Mob Rule.

Thanks for all your help friend!

stewa238 Insult/injury was just swapped out actually, if you check out the updates and "Who will be next to go"? section. Gisela I will eventually pick up. Just worried about the steep cost and what that'll do to my curve. I'm actually finding room for Reforge the Soul as we speak, the others are too expensive. I have some steal effects, used to have more. Been slowly phasing them out. Check out my updates to get an idea of how the deck used to look. Thanks for the comment!

multimedia Good points! Thanks for the follow up! She's on the list of possible upgrades!

baynne sacking enemy commanders for damage is soooo much fun. Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Sliver Overlord, and Zurgo Helmsmasher have all been hurled across the field by the Stoutarm!

Like the deck. In all honesty I can't think of too many things that you haven't already acknowledged, or that isn't too far off theme. Congrats on being the second highest Brion Stoutarm deck!

KALE434 Thanks for the comment! I've had stuff like Endless One(Lightning Serpent, for example) but found they weren't efficient enough for me. I prefer low cmc + high power creatures. This allows me to keep my curve low and run on only 36 lands. Metalwork Colossus is cool but I don't think I have enough artifacts to really get him to be worth it. Thanks again!

Pheardemons Thanks for stopping by, friend! Appreciate the honesty haha! I'm always open to taking advice again though! And thanks! I've actually inched into first place I believe! It's still close though!

Hey Suns_Champion congrats on your deck man!

As far as Metalwork Colossus goes I definitely think it's worth a test. You're ruining 21 artifacts with an average cmc of 2.5. That along with your artifact tutors your likely to have at least 3 if not 4 artifacts on the field reducing his cost by at least 7 making the colossus a 10/10 for 4. Putting him in the same category as Nova Chaser with the added benefit of him being able to stick around of need be.

I like the direction the deck is taking. Since you are using Sneak Attack, Mimic Vat, and Feldon of the Third Path I would suggest Angel of Serenity as it is an abusable form of control and recursion.

have you considered Blood Lust for 2 mana that gives +8 damage for your deck. plus it's worded so if you were to persay target your Blistering Firecat right as you unmorph it it would suddenly become an 11/1 since the negatives wouldn't apply as it's already at 1 toughness, + the throw you were gonna already do before having to sack it rounds to 22 damage. just a thought as I don't build decks to aggressively tap sideways. In other thoughts I enjoy how your deck has been turning out. it's made alot of progress since I first found it on here. I think it was in one of my first comments on here, But I still say this deck needs a Martyr's Bond for extra board control.

Hope I could have been of some help.

Good luck!

Hi, I would recommend adding Rings of Brighthearth to double Brian's fling ability and also works with your other creatures with activated abilities like Feldon and Kiki-jiki. If you are feeling evil, I would also recommend adding Grafted Exoskeleton to OHKO anyone with infect fling damage. I also think that Thousand-Year Elixir would work wonders in your deck - letting Brian use his ability immediately and untap him to do it again is invaluable. Hope that helps!

September 7, 2017 4:23 p.m.

Going to second Enral request to adding Grafted Exoskeleton to the main board. Also some Act of Treason's would help a lot.

Hi there! I'm flattered that you think my opinion is worth getting on this! I see you've done a lot of work so I will make a few humble suggestions!

Hijack Traitorous Blood and similar effects. I see in the past you ran several of these. I feel somw might be worth considering.

I see a lot of suggestions I would make are in the maybeboard. I really like Moltensteel Dragon Harness by Force and a last humble suggestion Magewright Stone to untap Brion. Hopefully some of this is the least bit helpful. Cheers! - Casey

MoGoose831 Appreciate it man! Thanks for breaking down the Metalwork Colossus math for me... I'll definatly keep an eye on my artifacts and may pick it up later! And I suppose Sneak Attack will always be there too.

Lilbrudder Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the changes! Angel of Serenity seems powerful. The 7 cmc is steep and I'm trying to lower my curve but I'll see if she fits in. Thanks again!

TheHamster Blood Lust seems like a not quite as good +X/+0 effect, and I've been phasing those out recently anyway. And yeah, you've been watching this deck for a while now! I believe you were my first commenter actually! It's been quite a journey. And I completely forgot about Martyr's Bond! I'll take another good luck at it and try to find the money and a slot in the 99 for it! Thanks again friend!

PartyJ Thanks for responding! Adarkar Valkyrie is good, especially for stealing my opponents' creatures, but isn't as good for most of my creatures, who would die again at end of turn. Used to have more Act of Treason and they'll continue to float in and out of the side/maybeboard. Archangel Avacyn  Flip is cool. Quick question: can I flash her in at the end of my untap step? Is that a thing? I was so excited when I saw Teferi's Protection spoiled! Amazing card but not a $25 I need to spend on Brion haha! Thanks for your help!

Enral Thanks for coming friend! Rings of Brighthearth is too expensive but perhaps Thousand-Year Elixir will go in! I agree it'd be the perfect 3-drop before Brion. Grafted Exoskeleton is.... was... not sure why I took it out. Haha! It may definitely find it's way back in though! Thanks a ton!

Zimmers_0 Thanks for responding! I've responded to both of those previously but they'll both stay sideboard staples for now. The Act of Treason effects are usually what I cut first to test new stuff. Thanks again!

Casey4321 I admire your humility! I've covered my reasoning Act of Treason effects well enough I think haha! Moltensteel Dragon I never really cared for but Magewright Stone I might pick up. Thanks again friend!

One last THANK YOU to all who comment/upvote! You guys are the best!

Why would you want to cast her then? As long as you transform her in the turn she comes into play, you keep all the creatures.

September 8, 2017 2:45 a.m.

Watch out for Blind Obedience like cards. They might end up screwing with your cards.

September 8, 2017 9:14 a.m.

Some artifact/enchantment destruction might be good.

Wear / Tear or Orim's Thunder could be good additions

Shatterstorm or Vandalblast to really wipe out the artifacts.

Suns_Champion says... #24

PartyJ well, if I understand Archangel Avacyn  Flip correctly, she can't flip the same turn she comes in unless it's before your upkeep, thus, the untap step. She gives my creatures indestructible "until end of turn" and only transforms "at the beginning of the next upkeep" so I'm confused. maybe I'm looking at it wrong.

Zimmers_0, hoardofnotions, bushido_man96: yeah I've been putting off artifact and enchantment removal for a while now haha! Return to Dust is on my to-buy list and Vandalblast has been in the sideboard for a while. It's just hard cutting stuff that I want for stuff I need :(

Well, you don't necessarily have to "cut" anything. If you think someone is going to play with some heavy artifact deck, slide them in for something else for that game.
