r/budgetbrews is having a bad tribes challenge, and I was looking at demons and Rakdos, the Showstopper on EDHREC when I learned that not a single IMP deck showed up.

Sure imps aren't great, but they are an old tribe, and there are enough to make it.

Of course this deck will be limited by the challenges tough $25 constraint (minus basic lands), and imps lack of lords will make this a janky deck at best, but I think it will also be a really fun one.

Why is the showstopper commander over Blim, the legendary imp? because blim doesn't actually synergise with having lots of imps out and this is a tribal deck. Rakdose the show stopper will wipe half of opponents boards while leaving yours alone if you have imp tribal

Most imps have a pretty low CMC but we will want to be able to cast Rakdos a couple times in a game if we can. This means we want ramp, but will have probably played all our imps already, so card draw will be important.

We do include a couple demons to keep our imps in line, plus they also still synergize with Our showstopper

non tribal inclusions- Grenzo, Dungeon Warden is a weird form of card advantage, since imps tend to be pretty small, and even many of our non tribal cards have smol bodies Judith, the Scourge Diva is a cheap Rakdos sudo-lord, since the challenge doesn't allow a tribe with a real lord

plaguecrafter/big game hunter are removal

faceless butcher/voyager staff are in here to flicker our commander
