Thanks for the ideas Busse, Lissa and Cyrrus! They are all really good cards that work well in this type of deck. However, for a few reasons I prefer not to play them.

Bant Sureblade would make a good edition (essentially a 3/2 first strike for 2 mana) but I prefer to get something with exalted out with Ardent Plea (or the amazing unblockable/hexproof Invisible Stalker ). I like the look of your deck though Busse! Nice Pillar of the Paruns , I must say :P.

I have real trouble excluding Giltspire Avenger from my deck. It is a great card but, I am not sure, I have always found it to be a bit slow... but, hmmm. I will put this the maybeboard for further contemplation I think ;P. Way to make me think! Thanks Lissa :D!

As for Knotvine Paladin . Synergy: fantastic. However, as per the same argument I made with Busse, I'd prefer to grab out something with exalted with Ardent Plea. Maybe I could replace Invisible Stalker with it though... interdasting. Not as safe or secure, but definitely packs a much larger punch. I will have to see about that one ;). Cheers Cyrrus!

Thanks again everyone for your helpful comments! Sorry for the late reply though!

Why no Sublime Archangel ? Wouldn't essentially doubling all your Exalted triggers be really helpful?

To be honest, Silent Arbiter isn't all that great, because as soon as he hits the battlefield, he becomes priority number one. Putting out one of those would make you the immediate target in multiplayer games. At the very least, cut one for a Sublime Archangel as an alternate win condition, because having one or two 1/5 Artifact Creatures with no other abilities are kind of flat, don't you think? You usually only need one, which you could probably get into your hand much easier with a Worldly Tutor .

My last point is that you need some way to bring back your creatures, because a single Supreme Verdict could be lethal. I would suggest looking into getting a few Dawn Charm s.

Hey there artakha! Thank you so much for the comment and I do apologise for the sheer length of time it has taken for me to reply to your comment! It is a very meaty comment and I love having so much to consider :D! Here are my thoughts:

Worldly Tutor : Now here is a non-permanent spell with CMC lower than 3 that I would actually consider... if it was legal in modern :(. Fantastic card but for my own reasons I would prefer to keep the deck modern.

Silent Arbiter : You make a great point here. I think a less threatening alternative could be used here for multiplayer (e.g. Lightmine Field ) but in both multipleyer and 1v1 Silent Arbiter might be better side-boarded and brought in for aggro deck. What are your thoughts?

Sublime Archangel : For whatever reason, I have always had Elspeth and Sublime Archangel take up the same spot in my deck in my mind. I guess there is no reason why I can't have both; especially if I put Silent Arbiter into my sideboard.

Dawn Charm : No doubt this deck does not like board removal. I think my only form of defence to that has been being able to build back up faster than my opponent. Though this deck lacks any real card draw mechanics. While I can see the potential of Dawn Charm, it does not synergise with my Plea so I am not really taking to it :(. Perhaps something like Ghostway could work however, or Sphinx's Revelation to draw those cards. What are your thoughts?

Overall, thank you so much for the suggestions, I have a lot to think about and some deck changes to make :P!

You deserve points right off the bat for not pussing out and running Goyfs.

Also, I hope you get some fetch lands soon. Those Expanses aren't going to cut it.

Haha, cheers Xenophobe :D!

I have managed to get some new lands recently, though my deck is still a way away before being complete IRL. Inching ever closer...

You should swap out the Convolute for a better counterspell like Dissolve or Dissipate or even Cancel.

Hey thereDivinity_infinitum, cheers for the advice :D!

I have wondered if I should put a more reliable counter spell in, like the ones you suggested, in place of Convolute. I have been hesitant because of the double U requirement which can be difficult to achieve whilst trying to satisfy my colour base. Even though my deck is three colours, do you think it would be worth switching out my counter spell (personally I like Dissolve)?

Your mana base should be fine for double blue and Dissolve is strictly better as it is a hard counter with scry so its definitely worth it. Its pretty cheap too.

That is a good point! I'll make those changes now. Cheers Divinity_infinitum :D!

Looks good, i actually used a similar deck just last June in GP Singapore. It started out fairly similar to this, but by the time of the GP it went with a few rhox war monks, simic charms, horizon chimera and shorecrasher mimics because the original version didn't feel aggressive enough.

All of your higher impact creatures are well withing bolt range, and that's a huge problem. I used wilt-leaf liege to buff them for that, but I suggest adding a gifts combo package with elesh norn as a form of one-side board wipe,to clear the way for your bigger creatures. Finest Hour is a great card, but I'll move it down to 2, as even at 3, drawing multiples early on isn't a good thing. Also, steel of the godhead only seems to work at it's maximum with rafiq, and i'll likely cut that too.

I don't understand the lack of Path to Exile...

Cheers elementalheroflamewingman! That is really helpful advice (sorry you had to wait so long for a reply, hahaha). You have convinced me and I have made some changes based on what you recommended.

Path to Exile is indeed an incredible card, MangoPunch; however I would not want to run the risk of accidentally cascading into it with Ardent Plea. For this reason, I eschew cards like Path to Exile in light of low-costing permanents and higher-costing control cards.
