Looking for suggestions for replacing the cards that are rotating out such as Loxodon Smiter, Advent of the Wurm and Cyclonic Rift.
CREATURES:
Brimaz, King of Oreskos 3 Mana for a potential 4/5 with vigilance, a must include in any midrange list.
Courser of Kruphix A good card overall but the only deck manipulation in this list is Kiora, the Crashing Wave
Elvish Mystic Turn one mana acceleration, Yes please.
Fleecemane Lion A very good beater on turn 2 and when monstrous a very hard threat to deal with.
Loxodon Smiter Very good against things like Lifebane Zombie and Thoughtseize and still a good body on turn 3.
Nylea, God of the Hunt Probably the best way for creatures to get in by giving everything trample and a good mana sink mid to late game.
Prophet of Kruphix Why play creatures on just your turn?
Soul of Theros Very good at pushing through with +2/+2 to possibly end games, and the lifelink is good against aggro or burn.
SPELLS:
Advent of the Wurm a 4 Mana 5/5 that is an amazing surprise blocker then kills Polukranos.
Chord of Calling This card is insane, just the interactions it has with prophet is incredible, getting a Soul of Theros for 3G and 6 resources on the end of their turn is disgusting.
Dissolve A safety net to their big bombs, that they probably wont see coming.
PLANESWALKERS:
Ajani, Mentor of Heroes Good for making my creatures bigger and needing to be dealt with and good for digging, The ult is kinda underwhelming but gives you more turns to finish them.
Elspeth, Sun's Champion What hasn't been said about this card, the meta warped around her.
Kiora, the Crashing Wave +1 hits mutavualt, which is still relevant atm and like I said interacts with Courser very well.
The Sideboard is still being worked on but will probably be finalized once a few tests have been done against other decks, but recommendations are always welcome!
(Friday August 1st) Update! First place at FNM went 5 - 0 without using a sideboard.
Match 1 - Mono Black Devotion. Just out aggro'd and won just by swinging
Match 2 - U/B Tokens - This game went to time and ended up top decking Cyclonic Rift and swinging for the wing but after I realized i was at 67 Life compared to his 2
Match 3 - R/U/G Midrange - Game one was kind of one sided due to opponent being land screwed, second game I got blown out by mistcutter and 3rd game had all my removal in my hand.
Match 4 G/W Heroic - Again another match that Cyclonic Rift was the card that put got me the win.
Match 5 B/W Humans - Probably the hardest match of the night and if it wasn't for Soul of Theros I would've lost.
