ALT. Title: Tapped Out for What?

You like untapping your mana? That sucks. You like blocking weenie attacks? That sucks too. Oh me? I'm good, I untap EVERYTHING.

This Derevi Commander deck focuses on annihilating your opponents hope. This is accomplished with cards like Hokori, Dust Drinker (suck it mana!), Dream Tides (suck it creatures! (especially green)), Loxodon Gatekeeper and Kismet (haha), and Declaration of Naught (suck it opponent commander!).

These are the tools best suited to control your opponents to the grave. For some of the more resilient nuisances, there's a good number of control enchants to get the job done.

But locking out your opponent can't be the only focus. Let's welcome Derevi, Empyrial Tactician to the stage. Height: 6' 4". Wingspan: 9' 2". Favorite hobby: Mana Generation and Omnipotence. Current Occupation: Inspiring Li'l John's recent musical endeavor.

Through the use of unblockable enchants and creatures, Derevi helps to repeatedly boost your mana pool to levels previously unattainable.

What use is all this mana without card advantage! Using these same techniques, massive card draw is accomplished with ease. Some extra help in this area comes from the lovely couple that has captured our hearts, Eidolon of Blossoms + Mesa Enchantress . Beautiful spells will surely follow these two in their adventures.

Now, let's talk damage. There are a few incredible "death dealers" sleeping in this deck. Namely, Quietus Spike and Hydra Broodmaster. The Spike is just straight stupid, I think we all can agree. Its also a bit of a no brainer when you consider the amount of unblock-ability that fuses this deck together. The Broodmaster is a big guy. Coupled with the mana techniques described earlier, this fella will soon be joined by a number of his big ol' friends and I'm sure they will all have a stomping good time.

To top it all off... Food Chain. Ugh! Almost too gross to allow honestly. With this little gem and Derevi (plus 3 extra mana), we're untapping (and/or tapping!) just about anything we want... INFINITELY. Here'e where Arcanis the Omnipotent is likely to make his presence known. This is also where you should achieve that wonderful 'Rage Quit' or! ,if you are so very lucky, the ever elusive 'Tear Filled Submission to Your Might and Skill'.

Happy Hope Killings!
