Bant Humans Collected Company

Standard GWU (Bant)

Dacheat

Sideboard

Creature (4)

Enchantment (4)

Instant (4)

Bant CoCo shell but with humans instead of other creatures. Really I think the only major piece that this loses over regular Bant CoCo is Sylvan Advocate.

1-Drops

Thraben Inspector is great in this deck. Can block the hyper aggro decks early, and cantrips for 2 extra mana later. If you can trade this for a card in combat you are in good shape.

Kytheon seems good as well, but I am not entirely sold on him yet. However, I think his ability block with indestructible before he flips could be very valuable.

2-Drops

Thalia's Lieutenant creates a lot more immediate value than JVP (the competing 2-drop in vanilla Bant CoCo) and can really give the opponent a lot of trouble if you hit in on a CoCo during blockers or damage steps.

Hanweir Militia Captain is also a very scary 2 drop if you can play it at instant speed and immediately flip it on your upkeep. The tokens do pump Thalia's Lieutenant so it brings a sense of inevitability to the late game if they can't remove him or the Lieutenant.

Knight of the White Orchid's WW cost is occasionally problematic, but we will rarely be playing on on turn 2 anyways since we will want to be taking advantage of his ramp ability to grab G or U mana. Other than that he is a 2/2 first strike for 2 which is pretty great.

3-Drops

Reflector Mage, the man, the myth, the tempo legend. Actually not as amazing to CoCo at EoT in since they will be able to recast their creature again on their next turn, but an instant speed bounce on a 2/3 is still great.

Tireless Tracker is another strong human that creates a lot of card advantage with his landfall ability. Not a whole lot more to say about him. He draws a lot of cards if unanswered and can get very big quickly.

Spells

Do I really need to explain Collected Company?

Dromoka's Command is there as removal for creatures, pumping, and enchantments. Although the damage prevention mode is occasionally relevant.

Ojutai's Command is there to make my opponent wonder if I'm holding up mana for it or CoCo. It also has very nice synergy with Thalia's Lieutenant and Militia Captain similar to CoCo.

Sideboard

Always Watching is sideboarded because it gets blown out by opposing Dromoka's Commands and it dilutes my hits off of CoCo. Depending on the meta I could mainboard a few of a these.

Silumgar Sorceror is my spicy sideboard tech against things like Avacyn, Archangel of Tithes, etc. It also pumps Thalia's Lieutenant and can be flashed in or hit off of CoCo making it pretty flexible.

Eerie Interlude is my answer to sweepers like Languish. It also creates a lot of value with my ETB effects. Each creature returning EoT sees every other creature as well. So if I blinked 2 Thalia's Lieutenants they would both be 3/3s upon returning to the battlefield since they would both see each other ETB.

Not sure on the last 3 slots. Open to suggestions. Maybe Negates?

Maybes

Den Protector is a great card, but it doesn't work too well with Collected Company. However, the ability to flip and bring back a CoCo to your hand definitely warrants some testing.
