The combo is well thought out, but right now it looks sensitive to early game control, burn, and black spot removal. Also O-ring, detention sphere, and Spellskite , which every modern deck has in the sideboard right now for burn, splinter twin, and Slippery Bogle decks. I would suggest running sideboard card:Autumn's Veil, card:Faith's Shield, Immortal Servitude , and maybe Withstand Death , as well as adding fast dual-lands or some Evolving Wilds to the mainboard. The deck otherwise looks pretty good and fast, though if you're forced into late-game you'll have issues likely. I might also suggest running Utopia Sprawl , as it acts as turn one mana acceleration and fixing, and, can add an additional two mana of a color to a tap then Arbor Elf activation.

Lightning Greaves might be beneficial. Your deck looks like a lot of fun. Killing Wave as well. I'm pulling something similar with vamp tokens in my vamp deck. Plus one. done by blood, by blood undone

Maybe some dual shocklands to go with AC's suggestion of Utopia Sprawl ? You'll have less trouble getting the color you want at the expense of a bit of life (for tempo). Temple Garden and Overgrown Tomb will help you get white and black mana while keeping plenty of forests available. This benefits Farseek as well, giving you 'plains' and 'swamps' that can also produce green.

It looks like you're going for budget though, so it's just a small suggestion.

awesome suggestions Thanks AngelicCookies, I definitely like the sideboard options card:Autumn's Veil is a must for black control! I'll add Duel lands if I pull them most of them are expensive! haha and Ive experienced the hate on my Slippery Boggle deck a couple sundays ago at a Modern tourney!

Lightning Greaves are beautiful and will be added thanks dbrannon

If you're worried about shock-land costs, know they will be dropping in price a bit next set, due to them being reprinted in Dragon's Maze.

have you thought of Pact of Negation to support your combo (if you pull it off with Illness in the Ranks, then you won't have to pay the upkeep cost anyways...)?

Yeah definitely!

Think you meant Blood Artist in your description. 'Pain Artist' links to a random deck someone posted that doesn't even have one card in it, haha.... Anyway, +1 I really like this idea, the three creatures you chose along with Presence of Gond have awesome synergy!

Whoops yes I meant Blood Artist ! :O haha thanks I love using Drift of Phantasms it lets me nap either of my combo pieces or grab my Champion of Lambholt :D

I would suggest cutting the champion as it is purely a win more effect and the double green only hurts your mana base. Spellskite would likely fit better as it can protect your combo while also being a mainboard hose to kiki combo.

The build I had running was a Selesnya build and was about $300, not saying it was any good, at the time I thought Holy Day and Fog were awesome.

The key card differences I was running were Congregation at Dawn and Idyllic Tutor , but I realize that Drift of Phantasms makes a better tutor because you can't counter it, at least not in this modern meta. I also ran Path to Exile for spot removal (one of the best in modern), and Blasting Station as an alternate win-con (better than Champion of Lambholt ), as it doesn't mean anything if they Pyroclasm my field, or take control of Midnight Guard . Considering that, I suggest running Gods Willing over some of the counter-spells you choose to get by the world spells.

As for better counterspells, Delay has always been a favourite of mine for combo builds. You also have way too many cantrips for a combo-control build. I only ever run 4-3 Serum Visions . Putting in better removal would be very useful, so Path to Exile can go there, and then Echoing Truth as well. Pact of Negation should only be used against control builds for during the moment when you're going to set off your combo and you need to play one more spell. So I would side it for now.

To keep draws more consistent I'd consider dropping 2 spell pierce and keep slight of hand and serum visions at 4 ... your counter magic is there no need to overload on it... you can always move them to the sideboard ??
