This is an evolved version of my Theros Game Day deck which had Master Biomancer in it. I took him out for Trostani because she just seemed better in the deck with Archangel of Thune and the Wurm tokens. Also if you can curve out with Courser turn 3, Trostani turn 4, Archangel turn 5 and Elspeth turn 6 then it gets crazy!!

Well I finally got my first Game Day Champion playmat. I went into this thinking I had a good chance of winning, but you never know what can happen.

Round 1 Won 2-0: faced a R/W burn deck which I finished off fairly easy with all the lifegain I have in the deck, but I must say that Nyx-Fleece Ram was the all-star in this matchup and the burn deck couldn't offset the lifegain from it.

Round 2 Tied 1-1: This time a faced a B/W midrange deck. It was a friend I was playing and I knew his deck was super tough with a ton of kill spells, and I had never beaten him in a tournament before. Our games lasted a long time and we ended up running out of time and tied.

Round 3 Won 2-0: faced W/u deck. Seemed like a White weenie deck but couldn't really tell, I never saw too many creatures. It was a pretty easy matchup and he couldn't answer all my threats, but i will say he got out 3 Banishing lights and 2 Detention spheres on me in one game which was horrible.

Round 4 Tied 1-1: faced Mono-blue devotion which was played by another friend. Again this was long games that went to time and we tied.

Top 4 Round 1 Won 2-0: faced this same Mono-Blue devotion deck but this time I got better draws and took the match 2-0 fairly easy.

Finals Won 2-1: faced the B/W midrange deck again that I had tied with before. first game he straight up killed me with Lifebane Zombie that I couldn't do anything about. Game 2 I killed him with Witchstalker since he kept a 1 land hand and never drew many more lands. Game 3 was pretty awesome. Once again Lifebane was beating my face but I got out Kiora and stopped that and he had no answer for it and I got its Ultimate off and the same turn I put out Elspeth. Next he put out Obzedat with a whip in play so he was gaining life off that, and it came down to the wire that if he didn't answer Elspeth she was going to Ultimate next turn and he conceded when that happened.

Over all great day. Left with some sweet cards, packs and an awesome new playmat.
