I think I misread the description sorry about that. Add Rootborn Defenses to prevent removal

Selesnya Charm would be an awsome card to exile big threats and if they don't have any big threats u can always use the other choices

Hmm, those are good, I'll playtest with them later tonight and get back to you.

I can see how a deck like this wouldn't benefit much from a card like Supreme Verdict , however in my brew;
Bant_Walkers Playtest
Standard
SCORE: 7 | 12 COMMENTS | 1686 VIEWSinspired by Brian Braun-Duin, it's basically a U/W Control deck with a splash of Green for Kiora, the Crashing Wave .
As a mostly U/W control deck, 4x Supreme Verdict is essential to the deck and I could never cut it below the full 4-of. Thanks for the comment though, hook it up with an upvote if you like the tech I'm using.

I was just responding to the discussion you were having in your comments with another guy about how running 4 verdicts conflicts with running mana dorks, I was saying you could compromise and try alternate removal in replace of 1 or 2 verdicts. Not trying to be rude, but I'm not sure why you got on this deck to tell me why Supreme Verdict is good in your deck...

Well, suggesting I cut Supreme Verdict was a bad suggestion, so I came here to tell you that, as well as relate our two 'Bant' decks as well as point out their differences, in case you were assuming I could do without Supreme Verdict in much the way you are in this deck here, which I cannot in my deck.
I definitely was not trying to be rude, either.

Okay, no big deal. I'm probably gonna clear these comments up since they don't have much to do with the actual deck itself.

I really dig how this deck is geared towards certain match-ups, seems like you've put a lot of work into it! Do you ever have any mana issues with trying to go Courser of Kruphix into Brimaz, King of Oreskos ? I've been considering a Mana Confluence or two in my list for that very reason, but only playtesting will show. +1 from me!

Thanks! I haven't had major issues with the mana, and given how midrange my deck is I'm pretty hesitant to play it. That being said, there are times when I can't cast my spells on time. I might take out a Temple of Enlightenment or Hallowed Fountain to make sure that I can get GG on turn 3 for my Courser while not sacrificing the blue or white mana. What do you think, what would you replace with it?

Hmmm I would drop 1 forest and 1 temple of enlightenment for 2 Confluence. I don't think the life loss matters too much and it has huge upside with T3 Brimaz, T4 Courser. I'm actually going to take my own advice and do that to mine right now :D

I'm pretty nervous about playing more than one, just because of the possibility of drawing more than one. The deck doesn't want to play a lot of cards that include life loss without gaining card advantage out of it, it would probably just be a 1-of. I'll try one in place of the Temple, thanks =) Off to test! Lol
Side note: I think some decks want to play 4 Mana Confluence, I don't this deck can handle it. I'm not scared of playing the card in general, just seems risky to run more than one in this deck.

@agarritano So I tested it out. How I tested was I replaced Temple of Enlightenment, Temple of Mystery, Hallowed Fountain, and Plains each with 1 copy of it respectively and drew hands until I found it, then played the hand out to see if it was better/worse/the same. With each of the temples, it was worse than having a temple in my hand 3/3 times. I've learned that Temples are really important in this deck, as they're my 1-drops. With the Hallowed Fountain, 2 times it was effectively the same thing, and once it was worse because I had to take unnecessary damage to cast spells. With the Plains, it helped once by letting me cast something on time and twice it was harmful because I had to take extra damage. I've never had a forest constrict me from casting something, in fact they're usually pretty good to have in my hand so that I don't have to shock to cast a mana dork, so I didn't bother testing that one out.
I don't think Mana Confluence is for this deck, but it might be a lot better in yours. You have Elvish Mystic to cast on turn 1, all I want to do on turn 1 is scry. Let me know how it works out for yours!
