The main idea of this deck is to make a bunch of oozes, then beat your opponent's face... after making them unblockable. Axebane Guardian and the other defenders bide you time while also giving you mana for Slime Molding and Syncopate .Most of the other cards are there to Populate your slimes, give them evasion (can you imagine a Flying ooze in Ravnica's Skygames ?), or to keep them alive. If your tokens suddenly go poof late-game, Psychic Spiral can help put back those token-making cards.

Unless you're desparate, don't use Eyes in the Skies to populate that weenie 1/1 Bird, unless you want to annoy your opponent by scaring them with those huge slimes... but you just decide to poke them with the 1/1s.
