The first commander deck I ever built, Baptized in Blood is still one of my favorites, focusing on the tribal power of mono-black Vampires.

This beat down deck is pretty straightforward, with some control elements to help survive the multiplayer brawls that were this deck's proving grounds.

The one infinite combo in this deck is Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond . It's really more of an emergency or super long game ending combo.

A couple other interesting combos include Blood Tribute + Sanguine Bond , Sorin Markov + Sorin's Vengeance , and Exsanguinate + Sanguine Bond .

Overall though, the deck makes excellent use of synergies between the vampire lords and their supporting cards, which are hopefully relatively obvious browsing through. Big ones are Captivating Vampire, Necropolis Regent, Bloodlord of Vaasgoth, Bloodline Keeper  , and Vampire Nocturnus. All of these lords are guaranteed to make the vampires a force to be reckoned with.

A few words on select cards:

I normally frown on tutors in EDH, but Vampiric Tutor goes a long way thematically and strategically.

Word of Command also seems fitting given the mind control aspect of certain vampire mythos. It can help bait out counter spells or force the casting of creatures before their owner is ready.

Repay in Kind is a panic button. It can also be an interesting finisher if enough mana is available to follow through with some other devastating spell, or if the vamps on the field can just overrun everything.

The only change I would have made, in hindsight, is finally saving and taking the time to replace Chancellor of the Dross with Nirkana Revenant
