In this artifact deck, Baral, Chief of Compliance is an engine for low cost draw spells, and occasional counterspell draws, so you can rip through your deck at record pace trying to find a combo. Tons of redundancy. I didn't want to play any stupid combos with Darksteel Forge or Mycosynth Lattice or Memnarch, and hitting people with creatures is so uncivilized.

Here's how the deck wins:

1. Myr Battlesphere OR Pentavus OR Cathodion + Nim Deathmantle + Ashnod's Altar OR Krark-Clan Ironworks : Infinite Mana, Infinite Tokens. Use mana to draw through your whole deck with any X-cost draw spell for Fascination and then force opponents to draw their entire deck, or Blue Sun's Zenith everyone for the same effect. Fascination is just cooler.

2. Blade of the Bloodchief + Pentavus + Ashnod's Altar OR Krark-Clan Ironworks : Infinite Mana and Pentavites

3. Blade of the Bloodchief + Walking Ballista: Kill all 1/1 Tokens.

4. Infinite Mana + Walking Ballista: Kill Everyone

5. Infinite Mana + Prototype Portal + Voltaic Key : Infinite Voltaic Key. Get Infinite Mana with a mana rock, Infinite Tokens with Mimic Vat + Cathodion , lots of goofy shenanigans. Add in Ashnod's Altar and Planar Bridge to play your whole deck. Infinite Voltaic Key is the best.

6. A return to the classics. Grim Monolith or Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth: Infinite Mana.

7. Let's get spicy. Prototype Portal + Ugin's Nexus + 5 Mana: Infinite Turns

8. Who knows? You might get lucky with Mechanized Production on a Myr Battlesphere or a Pentavus

Thanks to some recent and not-so-recent releases, tutoring combo components out is easy.

Finally, we have to stay alive long enough to win. The deck runs boardsweeps and removal, plus the counterspell suite. Baral's Compliance, Nevinyrral's Disk, AEtherspouts, Cyclonic Rift, and Ratchet Bomb . Pentavus is also the best blocker ever.

Everything else is draw so you can dig, dig, dig. Baral and Inspiring Statuary makes the draw spells and X spells really cheap so you can dig like hell.
