This is a revised and streamlined version of a deck my cousin built, The Bass-Ackwards Land Destruction Deck. Land destruction is primarily in red, but it is secondarily in both green and black, which is what he cued on to (close to twenty years ago) when he built the original.

While the deck is streamlined in terms of its contents and has a number of strictly better cards subbed in -- Helldozer instead of Demonic Hordes, for instance -- it takes quite a while to get started. If your opponent already has a bunch of land, knocking some of it out doesn't do a whole lot. Of course, Dirtcowl Wurm and Argothian Wurm are credible threats, so it's more about applying pressure with a side of land destruction than anything else. Plus, most of the land-destruction spells are MV3, so if I can get my Llanowar Elves down I can start dropping them on Turn 2, destroying what might just be my opponent's only land. (This is why Wizards don't make MV3 land destruction anymore.)

This deck, first laid down in 2017, has been revised in '24 to be much more budget-conscious.
