The Battle Cattle are armed and ready for battle! I love tribal action so the whole point of this deck is to get out some cheap minotaurs and start turning them sideways.
Dreadbore is there for those pesky planeswalkers and hard to deal with threats (polykranos, desecration demon, you name it)
Lightning Strike is for the medium threats and combat tricks, it might be switched out for Magma Jet to get some more Scry going

Thoughtseize because Thoughtseize, deals with those things you just can't deal with easily.
Whip of Erebos has become a staple to this deck. It keeps your life high so you can use it as a resource and as a crutch, also it allows you to get back your cows for a nice alpha strike.

Skullcrack for those UW shenanigans
Another whip if they're packing a lot of enchantment hate (they will)
Bile Blight and Ultimate price for mono U and weenies
Devour Flesh for Blood Baron and hexproof shenanigans
