@happyg7373 to put tons of elves on the field w/ Nissa Revane , and to be used as expendable blockers and attackers as they can be brought back.

and @jasinatael I see why yours won, it's this deck's absolute weakness. Excessive low-power burn. None of the creatures in the deck are above 2/3 when unbuffed, so a lightning strike or similar can kill just about anything. When not against burn decks, however, this deck performs extremely well at 14 mana.

Wow, great ramp. Never got a second land but the elves compensated for that. I consider a 4th Joraga Warcaller since it can became a game ender. +1

@TheGamer Thanks! I tried 4 Joraga Warcaller for a while, however I found myself with two or more in my hand at times, which meant I didn't have Elvish Archdruid , Ezuri, Renegade Leader , or a dork elf in the 2nd one's place.

@TheGamer one thing I've never noticed until now about Joraga Warcaller , however, is that if you have both it and Elvish Archdruid out, all elves other than Joraga Warcaller and archdruid get +2/+2. as they get +1/+1 directly from Archdruid and the other +1/+1 from the counter on Warcaller.

The Staff is so powerful in monogreen it's insane. Love it, +1.

I love this elf deck i just have one question, How does the Staff of domination work exactly?
February 2, 2014 6:56 p.m.
If Elvish Archdruid can be tapped for 5, it can untap with the Staff infinitely. It'll produce 1 extra mana every time you do it. You use that mana to abuse the rest of what's on the staff.

Thankyou v4v3! And that's exactly how it works.
Dracule6, Staff of Domination works just like that. If I have Elvish Archdruid and 4 or more other elves out plus the Staff, I can tap for 5+ Mana. I use 3 mana to untapped the Archdruid and tap the Staff. 2 Mana left, use one to untap the Staff, 1 leftover to use as you please. Repeat in definately for infinite mana! Can use that mana to abuse all of the Staff's abilities, so infinite Tap/Untap, Life, and Card Draw. Draw and play as much of my deck as I want, including infinitely kicking Joraga Warcaller to make all my creatures infinity/infinity. If they havnt scooped at this point, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn gives me a second turn. Use Ezuri, Renegade Leader 's ability to give them trample, swing out, tap all their blockers, win, evil laugh.

Hey I like the deck. I've been working on my own for a little over a year now. My suggests would be to take out the Nissa's Chosen. I know it works well with Nissa Revane but I would move it to the side board.I probably have the same problem with burn problems as you do and I put Ranger's Guile in my. This is mainly cause I would get my creatures burned in the first two turns. I would keep the Asceticism in there for later in the game. Also Elvish Harbinger is nice if you don't have Elvish Archdruid in your hand or on the field but need to complete the Staff combo. I would also put in Harmonized to help draw cards too.
Take it or leave it. Either way I like the deck

cheese828 thanks for the suggestion! I brought it to a modern FNM for the first time, I found I could destroy anything except for Infect, because I can't just absorb damage turns 1-3 because effectively your life is 10, and because I can't gain it back with Nissa's Chosen. Due to bad drawings, had to swap out a Nissa's Chosen and Ascetisism for two Jagged-Scar Archers because they were proxies, I didn't get Nissa's lifegain to combat a Goblin deck I ran into. Ended up 5th, however I was pleased because I infinite combo'd a lot. I'm getting the last few cards in the mail, so I think I'll do much better at the next FNM. As for Ranger's Guile , I don't think he'd work that well, because I tend to have slight problems getting the three mana to play my first Archdruid, trying to get 4 mana would be even harder, however he'd be able to tap for much more. Also, I'm going to keep Nissa's Chosen, because a 2/3 is the perfect size to fend off rakdos aggro or red deck wins, where their creatures are almost always 2/2's. Dropping one, even from my hand, can buy me a lot of time. I've found that the deck is rather inconsistent however because of it's reliance on combos, primarily Elvish Archdruid . Any ideas to make it more consistent? Every game I play is a total trainwreck either for my opponent or for me, very few evenly matched games.

cheese828 ooh damn, thought Ranger's Guile was a different card! I thought it was the 1/4 elf (or is it a satyr?) that has "Tap for mana equal to your devotion to green"! Ranger's Guile would be excellent as a sideboard, however I don't think I'll mainboard it, because the all permanent build allows me to insta win if I play Primal Surge .

cheese828 Elvish Harbringer might work, however missing the card draw hurts, especially if I need a Staff of Domination, which I can't tutor up.

williamgp99 Not a bad idea! another option is Ezuri's Archers for just a 4/2 for half the price, will most likely put one or the other in the sideboard. Thanks for the +1!

Yes I would put Ranger's Guile as a side board too. I have the same problem trying to make it consistent. The thing i do is make sure i have a good hand to start with. That's really the only thing. Its going to be a hit or miss. Have you accoutered any counter decks. I had that problem during FNM.

Awesome deck, and thank you for your comment on mine Burning Speed 2014. It works a little better now. This is a really solid deck and I always loved elf decks. I might try make one soon myself.

I have a similar deck to yours, Elf Pump (30,000+ dmg possible!). Mine has a slightly different theme but runs a lot of the same cards. If you need help with a sideboard you could check mine out. And if you're looking for more consistency, you could consider leaning towards a build similar to mine, which is less combo-reliant; combo decks are often less consistent.
A few comments: glad to see you raised your land count from 14. That was way too few. Also, your deck seems a bit slow. And I know you like nissa's chosen, but i think you could take out 1 or 2 for something else... As for problems against removal, I have those too, they're not fun. That said, I would not put Asceticism in the maindeck. That is a sideboard card through and through. I recently discovered Tajuru Preserver, who is nice against black removal, such as the famed Liliana of the Veil. I might try Ranger's Guile, too, although Withstand Death might be better. It really sucks that Fyndhorn Elves isn't legal in modern. By the way, have you ever had problems with arbor elf and Cavern of Souls and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx? I am considering adding another nykthos myself.
Anyway, all in all I like your deck, +1.

carysh few issues with Arbor Elves and Cavern/Nykthos, although it comes up sometimes. More often I run into the problem of Cavern not being able to cast Nissa or of a 2 land hand with Nykthos as one of them.
