Jdvanliew What do you mean "make it good"? This deck is already overpowered. Just ask everyone else. I believe MagicalHacker in particular enjoyed some success at major tournaments with it.

Oh, and, you know, won the PT, but that's no big deal.

have you considered Storm Crow as an alternate win con?

Umm... Yes, I have. That's why it's been in the deck for ages already.

Jdvanliew As I stated before, this deck is not only "good" and "playable", but it's actually very competitive. I won FNM multiple times with this deck before my LGS banned it because it was becoming degenerate. I believe a couple of other people also had success at GPs and PTs with this, with InconspicuousPotato taking 1st in a PT with it and MagicalHacker winning a GP.

Awesome. Not very original though since everyone knows Storm Crow just out right wins game. I would love to build this deck, but at $340 a pop, I think Storm Crow is over my budget. +1

I don't get how this is competitive. It can win at best on turn 6. Aggro, tempo and combo decks have enough time for kill you before it happens. Ramp, midrange and control decks can deal with all of your threats, before you win. Also you don't have sideboard, so if you somehow can win game one, they have in games two and three a way more answers to your threats than you have threats. They also have a smaller library so they're more likely to draw those answers, than you threats. People look decks with 'Competitive'-tag really want to see competitive decks. So I ask you for remove, that 'Competitive'-tag.

/\ Non-Believer. Nothing is more competitive then Storm Crow . Also minor oversight: this deck can win turn two when your opponent concedes after seeing Storm Crow hit the field. 20 turn clock is such pressure.

Colgate I don't really need a sideboard. The mainboard is powerful enough to win game 2 without help. Game 3 doesn't matter as there won't be a game 3 after my 2-0 victory.

Wow.. I honestly never thought I would see Battle of Wits in a competitive deck.. and work! Where I play, my modern deck (Mono Green Eldrazi) is despised simply because I once dropped Kozilek turn 4 and Emrakul turn 5. That was the perfect, 0.0000000000000000000000000000001% chance opening hand that will never, ever happen again for as long as I live. I'm fairly certain that I would need that hand again, and be on the play, for me to beat this deck.

I honestly can't tell if Colgate is joking, serious, or just kind of slow.

In all seriousness, do you actually have this deck in real cards put together? Probably sleeve it in toploaders so the almighty will last.

cakrause86 You think I can afford a playset of Storm Crow and a playset of Battle of Wits and fifty five and a half playsets of Island ? Damn, if only I had the money.
April 28, 2014 3:48 p.m.
@TitansFTW: do you mind if I use this deck as a springboard for a twin deck, just with some new, mostly unneeded cards to be used as filler and post it? I will put a link to this deck in the description for anyone who actually wants to play competitively, or use the deck just for fun. Sometimes people want to play Magic for the fun of it, not just to win with some broken combo like some people I know! Jeez, I mean Storm Crow AND Battle of Wits in the same deck?!! Come on man, at least put in some cards that are going to be fun for the opponent! The brokenness of having Island s in a Blue deck is starting to wear on me.
