where exactly did you get the 222 as the proper number of lands from? I would have thought 214 would work better, and give you better odds. If that's the sort of game you want to play that is.

There is a 12.3% chance of Battle of Wits being in your opening hand, a 19.6% chance to have it by turn 5 on the play and a 21.4% chance on the draw. The current numbers are wrong.

You would use a hypergeometric distribution to figure out the odds of any card in your opening hand. Your numbers don't seem right but I will go check.

roberteaves You could use hypergeometric distribution, or you could just click the button labelled "card odds" on the left hand side of the page. That's where I got my numbers from.

How am I supposed to beat a deck with two completely independent win cons?
Side Tranquility against Battle of Wits = Storm Crow pecks my face. Because he's not an enchantment!
Side Plummet against Storm Crow, and then I lose to Battle of Wits! _You don't even have to attack!
No wonder they banned this, I would scoop too. +1

I don't find this deck that great, I versed it and went 3-0 out of three matches and even when my opponent mulliganed and got it. I beat him on turn 5 with Lifegain is a way of life +=Budget=+. Yes a budget deck.

Note: my opponent mulliganed 2 of the 3 games.

Clearly your opponent wasn't playing the deck right, which is expected as it is a very difficult deck to master. I playtested against your deck and I won 7 times out of 7.

Oh and you know how to play my deck? All you do is you place out mana until you can play battle of wits he mulliganed and got it. And played mana each turn, he got Storm Crow twice and I exiled it. Each turn I played out new creatures increasing the power of Ajani's Pridemate. Place out Spectral Procession that's gain 9 life and add 9 counters to ajani. 9 counters because you gain 1 life from 3 cards every time a creature is layed out that's gaining life three times while Spectral Procession lays out 3 spirit tokens multiplying that by 3. Not to mention other buffs adding to that like Honor of the Pure

The three cards that cause you to gain 1 life every time a creature is played would be like Soul Warden and/or of the other ones in that deck that do the same.

When you played this at your FNM, did you use Islands with the same art, or did you use different arts? I'd be interested to know how the different arts affects my opponent.

Lol no, I didn't play it at fnm, I versed my friend on playtest while we were sitting at CPUs right next to each other (Two different computers). I don't own either deck, I plan on buying the white deck though.
