Too many Storm Crows man - you really only need 1 with his power level.+1 for idea though.

I playtested this deck half a dozen times and won with Battle of Wits every time. It was insane. Not once did I get down to 199 cards in library and only twice was it not in my opening after mulliganing. This deck is insane!

Um... am I the only person that thinks this deck sucks? You have almost no defense. You go against an aggro deck and you're dead. There are some decks that can kill you in less than 5 turns you know.

What are you even talking about? He has a whole playset of Storm Crow to stop a potential attack....

Have you ever played magic before?

There are some people who excel at deck building, some that are the best at a particular archetype, some that excel at multiplayer manipulative politics, some that can repeatedly drop the $ for the current tournament winning deck, and some who just never make wrong decisions.

1337_Nerd yes, yes you are. 4 FOUR (four)!!! Storm Crows to simultaneously beatdown and defend. You need to reconsider your entire approach to magic and deckbuilding if you can't see the majesty of this deck.

This deck needs some token spawns. It's a good idea but is very vulnerable to W/G and U/B.

Making this three colours will improve your odds of winning a great deal. I might suggest White and Green to add Midnight Guard, Presence of Gond, Tidewater Minion, Illusionist's Bracers and Thraben Doomsayer for some quick creatures if you can't stop your opponent before turn six or haven't yet drawn your other win conditions. You can even keep Storm Crow and the mathematics remains the same: You still have 1.79% probability to pull Battle of Wits but you also gain 8.69% probability to win with creature tokens. This improves your total probability to win by more than 10%

As a side-note, you may want to recheck your maths. All of your probabilities are off by one figure. You have just over 3% probability to start a game with one of your win conditions and your total probability to win a game on turn five is only 1%

If we're talking sideboard against an aggro deck, might I suggest running urzatron for Aggro and Red decks? I mean, sure, Storm Crow is a beast and should be able to trump most green creatures, but a RDW with lots of Burst Lightning and Lightning Bolt will slip right past even the Crow. Ramping up the the mana with a tron combo should get you that magical you need for the wincon faster.

+1. 10/10. Best deck.

what is so special about Storm Crow? He's just a 1/2 flyer.

June 3, 2016 7 a.m.

It's a 20 turn clock that can be cast with 2 islands, the best land in the game, and can be pitched to Force of Will, which is a legacy and vintage staple. What is there not to love? Flying also means it can block Emrakul, guaranteeing you can get to your next turn with battle of wits in play. Additionally, flying means that it can't be blocked except by flyers, so it's an evasive clock too.

Thanks for clearing that up! :)

I must be missing something. What if your opponent kills you on turn 4 before you get anything out? Can some one explain this deck?

Snap157: This deck relies heavily upon the inherent complexity of Magic: The Gathering. While it doesn't appear to have much controlling power, it draws strength from the ability to force opponents to play around cards that you might have in hand rather than what you actually have. Against inexperienced players, it tends to lose more frequently because they will try to play threats even when you have a board of untapped Islands and appear prepared to counter anything that they play. On the other hand, professionals typically play with more caution; they see your Islands and think that you can respond to whatever moves they make, so they often attack and cast spells less actively. As a result, even the decks that can usually kill within a few turns will slow themselves down, allowing the beats with Storm Crow or automatic win from Battle of Wits to eventually close the game for you. I hope that this explanation helped!

Ran into someone that had clearly net-decked this at my LGS...

My Wally's Wacky World of Walls deck just wasn't prepared for the subtlety of a 1/2 flying blocker, by the time T5 came around I just couldn't get that damage through.

GG indeed, a true Battle of Wits.

Eddytrail Hawk as a one of and a single Plains could work as a another win con. Such great odds...

I'm wondering if a full set of Serum Visions would make this deck too broken or too inconsistent?

I love the joke behind this deck and love all sorts of these joke decks, but in all seriousness, I'm thinking of making an actual competitive battle of wits deck, how do you think I should do it?
