I got upvote 200!
@bman5604 Are you kidding? There's a 17.9 % chance of getting Battle of Wits Turn 5! That's a whole 17.9% of the time you're winning! Isn't that insane!

I personally bought this deck and took it to a modern GP and went undefeated in January of this year.
I've also been testing it against faeries, zoo, jund, and a couple of other decks projected to get goodies from the unbannings, but it doesn't seem to be enough for those decks to beat this one.
This deck is too good.

All those tokens made by Bitterblossom are nothing compared to a Storm Crow . The Crow just eats them in combat.

Challenge accepted. I'll build it online and give credit where credit is due if it does

It's the hard counter of Spellstutter Sprite that should concern u. But I'll spend the rest of the night testing this I assure u
February 9, 2014 5:46 p.m.
A modern gp? No u didn't. There were no list on the undefeated side at gp Prague

bman5604 It's true, this deck was in the top 8 of Grand Prix prague. Everybody was siding in their Combust s to deal with Storm Crow , but if they did, they would just lose on turn 5 to Battle of Wits ! I was playing my Steamflogger Boss combo deck and I got crushed by this one. I still came in second place though, but it was a tough time. Don't underestimate the ability of this deck to sweep a grand prix, however.

No it wasn't

SO JUST HAD AN AMAZING 0-12 RECORD. STILL NOT SEEING HOW THIS DECK WINS. IT MIGHT BE CONSISTENT GETTING A Battle of Wits ON THE BATTLEFIELD STILL LOSES BEFORE YOUR TURN 6 UPKEEP

You have much to learn, my naive bman5604. If one does not truly believe in the Storm Crow , one will not know the power it possesses. This is why you had an 0-12 player. A follower of the crow could have pioneered this deck to a 12-0 record with just a little faith.

Lol you guys are funny. If you want to hop online I'll prove my point by sending u the deck. Prove how naive I am

I shall play you if youre playing this deck, and I'll play it too.
You shall see this deck will win every match.
Never Doubt The Storm Crow .

Tomorrow we can MagicalHacker and it's retarded to play against the same deck. It defeats my point.
February 9, 2014 11:57 p.m.
bman5604 you are obviously missing the point here. this is a joke deck to be taking jokingly and MagicalHacker and vishnarg are just messing with you!

Kittacus, what are you on about? This is a very serious deck. I built this for the purpose of being competitive and plan to take this to the next GPT, once I get enough Island . Hopefully, going by the results posted by others, I'll be able to at least top 8.

@TitansFTW Once you get enough Islands you should work on getting some foil Island s and Zendikar Island s. Foil Storm Crow would be nice but you are on a budget and it's not very budget friendly.

I'm unfortunately not quite rich enough to foil this deck. That's why I don't play Legacy or EDH.

You know... I thought I saw a broken deck with Griselbrand
reanimation... but maybe this is the sole reason. The number one reason why YuGiOh players exist. Because they stumble upon this reincarnation of Bayonetta, a true goddess in the format of modern, and perhaps can even top a few Legacy deck, then the YuGiOh players realize that with such an over powered deck, they must challenge themselves with a simpler game.
TitansFTW, with such wonderful knowledge... I can finally die happy. Thank you... for completing my life.

So, I decided to do a playtest of this deck, since I was bored.
First hand:
5x Island
1x Storm Crow
I shit you not.

Araganor This deck is build for consistency, if you can't tell from the list. That opening hand doesn't really surprise me. That's what's meant to happen.

Well let's just say I was skeptical at first, but you have won me over now.

I'm not saying that Battle of Wits wouldn't work in modern. It's just highly unlikely with this build. Need a lot of tutors.
