This deck was built with the knowledge of playing in group games so keep that in mind when I justify cards. Also I tried to make this a bit of a budget deck, so if you do make suggestions please don't suggest Glimpse the Unthinkable
Artifacts/ enchantments
Altar of the Brood : I chose this because of the fact that it mills everyone and can build a nearly infinite combo with Undead Alchemist in a group match. Far better than something like Hedron Crab
Aqueous Form : I like this for the scry but also the unblockable is incredibly powerful with cards like Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker and Consuming Aberration.
Heartless Summoning
: I like this because it is an effective way to get bodies on the board for cheap and the only creature I feel it really hinders is Undead Alchemist because of its new vulnerability to small single pings
Profane Memento
: This is a bit of a meta decision. When in group games, occasionally you get beat down early and can't do anything about it. It is nice put in a way to be able to bounce back, and it is incredibly cheap for how much life it can gain you
INSTANTS/ SORCERY
Archive Trap : Do I really need to say anything? a potential free 13 card mill is enough to kick start Undead Alchemist and Altar of the Brood to mill everyone in a group game.
Muddle the Mixture : This is important to simply have a counter spell but also because the transmute allows me to grab that
Heartless Summoning
which is an important part to start throwing those big creatures out early.
Surgical Extraction : This is a safety precaution in case of eldrazi or something. Also this would be useful for decks with alternate win conditions like Laboratory Maniac or
Biovisionary
Visions of Beyond : Good draw for cheap as long as I am keeping up some mill. If not good in a quick bind to draw or at least trip Consuming Aberration
Traumatize Classic big mill card. Almost always a global win con with Undead Alchemist and Altar of the Brood. Even without it, throw on an Archive Trap and maybe a slap from Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker

Bloodgift Demon : Draws for minimal life loss which should hopefully be balanced by a

Consuming Aberration : Classic big milling thug. Not a lot more to it.

Phenax, God of Deception : allows my dudes to sit back and mill if they cant charge in.
Undead Alchemist As mentioned before, it can clean house with an Altar of the Brood with some gas poured on the fire. Also creates some nice blockers with it as a bonus.Havengul Lich Wow, I get to look at the best cards in your deck and put them into play and use them, wow that's just dandy
Dimir Doppelganger Another source of graveyard exile for eldrazi and what not.
