  1. A word of honesty
  2. To be honest, I already played a weaker version of this deck before. I made some adjustments before starting the new LEC (Local commander event) with the french rulings. After the first 1v1 event I got the taste of it.

That's why I started this to take note of my wins and losses, looking back on my mistakes to become a better player. Above that a wise ruler takes in the advice of the councellors.

  3. Why the Queen?
  4. The queen herself is a fascinating ruler, she gives her people an advantage when she gets into the field of battle. Haste, deathtouch and a 3/3 creature isn't bad at all, good to strike fast and deadly which makes her outstanding to attack and defend. At the end she provides us with extra resources to deploy.

Red gave me a path to interesting "Generals" in my opinion. Those are the reasons I have chosen Her.

  5. Appointed "Generals"
  6. Two strong Generals are still waiting to join my army, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and Liliana of the Veil. I'm open to other suggestions. Good Generals control the field and protect her majesty. Some require a higher cost and as I noticed my deck requires a bit more mana rocks.

  1. Knowledge is power
  2. Let's split this up into two parts

Part one, meta.. plays a huge role in the decks you encounter. Always playing with the same friends has its advantages, you learn there decks and playstyle. But it may well be that if u go out of that circle u will hit a wall and hard. I recommend to go out there and conquer other cities!

Part two, be prepared.. notice the enemy commander and evaluate their "army". Knowing the types of decks according to a commander is already a good advantage.

  3. Going into battle
  4. A good opening hand provides us with the following things: some early game control and access to our Queen's colours.

Ideal would be 3 lands, 2/3 early control spells and 2/1 mid/ late game card(s) (A General perhaps?)

After my first 1v1 event I already changed some cards in the deck. My first game was a long one, but I had Elspeth, Knight-Errant on the field on turn 5 (which made me swing for another 6 commander damage that turn). It was pretty oppressive and the opponent struggled to remove her. Even when he could swing at me to become the monarch my General was a good distraction. The match ended 1-0.

Other games went quite the same just at a faster pace wich ended in 2-0 and 2-0 last game of the evening I lost.. 0-2 for my opponent.. I noticed I had major problems against his aggro/ control deck (Edric, Spymaster of Trest)

So the decision to add low cost wipes was made really fast.

Overall people struggled against the "Generals", They have a higher cost most of the time. But they are though to remove.

Anguished Unmaking for Kaya's Guile

Despise for Balance

Vandalblast for Pyroclasm

Swamp for Talisman of Hierarchy

Blightning for Lightning Skelemental

The Rack for Gideon, Ally of Zendikar

Liliana, Dreadhorde General for Liliana of the Veil

Vicious Rumors for Gideon Blackblade

Rakdos's Return for Arena Rector, this change was made because Arena Rector is a mayor treat in a superfriends deck. The enemy doesn't want to see him die.

Abrade for Kolaghan's Command

Hero's Downfall for Murderous Rider

I'm considering the following changes:

Temple of Silence for Gemstone Caverns

Ritual of Soot for Fatal Push

I'm also looking for the possibility of playing Anguished Unmaking again.

I want to thank the community for helping me to develop myself as a player.

My special thanks go to the player Kiyomei, he helped me to start up this deck. Commander_VlaanderenI played a lot against the founders of this group. Through the testing they helped me a lot with changes in the deck and suggested a lot of other good cards. Along that they gave me advice, tips and "tricks" to become a better player.

I recommend u to check out there profile!
