4 color ramp, sideboards into control for the more creature-heavy matchups. Frogs for the blue stuff, nylea's disciple comes in against anything with ground power. The wurm is scarier than the asp the turn it drops, but can't block fliers. frost breath/grip tide for tempo plays, as it's quite conceivable to produce 2-3x as much mana as the opponent and 4 is easy to leave up.

lava axes come out after game one almost always, but they are pretty good in a race where your creatures suck but you have 10+ mana per turn.
