Hooray rules changes

When the new Jace was spoiled in Ixilan it came with an interesting little blurb about how they are adding Legendary to all planeswalkers and doing away with the planeswalker uniqueness rule.

I won't speculate as to WHY they are making the change since it seems to be a hot button issue lately but I will say I'm happy for it.

A while ago SaffronOlive from MTGGoldfish went 5-1 in a league with this deck (minus some land changes for my own tastes) and I was extremely impressed. However at the time there was the limitation that the planeswalker uniqueness rule was a fairly consistent thorn in the side of the deck.

All that changed when the Fire nation attacked .... ahem I mean; all that changed when Ixilan was spoiled.

Now you can have Gideon of the Trials and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar in play at the same time.

I believe having 10 platinum angels that are indestructible during combat who also render conventional removal useless is quite good. A perfect curve of T1 IoK/TS, T2 IoK/TS, T3 GotT, T4 GAoZ, T5 GJ is quite strong.

We also run Lingering Souls and Oath of Gideon as ways to block for our Gideons. They can also be quite lethal with Gideon, Ally of Zendikar's emblem.
