Since this is Jeskai Control, I think 1 or 2 End Hostilities in the main sorceries or sideboard

What would you recommend to take out for it (also I need help with the sideboard)

You need a full hand to play control. -3 Magma Jet for +3 Dig Through Time . Or you can -2 Steam Augury -2 Mindswipe for +4 Jace's Ingenuity . Bottom line is you need more than two draw spells which let your opponent choose.

I would move the Negate to the sideboard in favor of 2 more lands, your curve seems rather high for only 23, and with how many comes into play tapped lands you have, you really can't afford to miss a land drop in your first 5.

I love that you're running Anger of the Gods , I think this card is awesome against any creature based strategy right now. How has AEtherspouts worked for you? I get that it's a huge blowout when you can surprise your opponents, but wouldn't you be better off just running End Hostilities instead? Seems less situational, and harder for your opponents to play around.

Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker would be awesome in this list as well, though he is very expensive atm so I understand if you don't want to add him (I'm in need of a few Sarkhan for my deck too: Standard Narset Control :P)

Looks super fun otherwise, good luck at your next tourney :)

I am looking for sarkhans so once I get some i will put him in. I will probably put in End Hostilities for the Aetherspouts. I'm trying to get Flooded Strand which I will put in for 2 enlightenment and monasteries I may take out the negates for lands but probably not. Finally as for draw I have so much scry that I can always get the card that I need so I'm really fine with so little draw plus Steam Augury helps with Spellheart Chimera and Dig Through Time and any other delve hurts it.

I need help with midrange decks and sideboard also do you think I need so many win cons? maybe -1 Spellheart Chimera for +1 Resolute Archangel ?

Four Dig Through Time . That's how you beat midrange: out-card them.

26 lands is definitely the correct amount in a control deck.

The reason im not running dig through time is that it ruins my spellheart chimera also do you think -2 negate for +1 mountain and +1 battlefield forge

October 27, 2014 3:27 p.m.

Spellheart Chimera is weaker than Dig Through Time . A LOT weaker. I'd rather be playing a strong win condition than a flimsy wincon TBH. Prog-Nog and Keranos are pretty solid.

I agree that you need more lands, 26-27 seems accurate. Jace and Mindswipe are poor cards and can be cut.

How about this -2 mindswipe and -1 jace for +3 lands of some sort and -3 spellheart for +3 dig through time and then -2 steam augury for +1 prog Sphinx and +1 jeskai charm

I'm not going to tell you how to build your deck. Your own playtesting should determine what cards you like. I will say, however, that those changes sound pretty good to me. I might try a Narset, Enlightened Master over the second Keranos, though.

I'm definitely keeping keranos at 2 but maybe instead of +1 shinx +1 barest i pulled her and I wanted to try it out

I am liking the deck, I'm actually trying my hand at Jeskai Control, if I had to recommend anything it might be Steam Augury. I'm running it in my current build, and it digs deep enough to get what I want when I want it.

If you can afford it what about Monastery Mentor

January 31, 2015 9:25 p.m.

I really think you need four Dig Through Time. The card is powerful as hell, and is often exactly what you want to draw in tight situations. I'd cut Narset (not really a consistent or powerful wincon, especially when you have wraths in your deck) and a Soulfire Grand Master, most likely moving the SGM's to the sideboard for aggressive decks and token decks.

Bnon says... #25

yeah I had been thinking about removing the narset I will try to get the Dig Through Time as for Monastery Mentor thats more of an aggro card and I don't think its right for this deck. I really like the Soulfire Grand Master because late game I can keep my cards and also it gains me life which I need so I think I will keep it
