With your lifegain, you should be running Dismember . Turn one: Nip, Turn Two Edge and Dismember their defence. If they have no defence, keep it for their turn!

All your creatures are white, consider Brave the Elements to keep them safe!

In multiplayer Grim Return is much better than Undying Evil, allowing you to steal creatures from other people's conflicts! Also if you like lifegain, the Soul Sisters (Soul Warden , Soul's Attendant ) will gain you wayyy too much life wayy too fast.

Finally a more expensive option than the Hatchling is the Divinity of Pride itself, more reliable as a top deck and still awesome.

Thanks for the suggestions ThePurpleGhost! I definitely like some of the suggestions you made. I'll play test with Dismember a bit to see how it plays.

I like Brave the Elements quite a bit, I run it in most of my other white decks, but I must say I do like Batwing Brume for its ability to ping opponents and prevent combat damage. I'll probably end up playing around with the build to see how Brave the Elements could fit in.

I've seen Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant before, but I think I'd rather run them in a mono-white Soul Sisters build.

I may reconsider Divinity of Pride over Voracious Hatchling , because it has flying, despite coming out a turn later.

One more thing, I know you like batwing brume (I do too) but I have to remind you, if you have only swamps or only plains it won't work as you want it to. Rare yes, but it could happen. What about Dawn Charm ? Great swiss army knife of protection in multiplayer. Also I'd invest in a few Isolated Chapel s, they are cheap now and a great investment for future W/B fun. Same goes for Godless Shrine .

I love Dawn Charm ! I run it in a Heroic deck I have. One of my friends runs Batwing Brume in a b/w deck and he typically has the necessary plain and swamp to make both effects trigger.

I currently have one or two Godless Shrine in my possession from a couple lucky pulls, as well as a couple Isolated Chapel .

High Priest of Penance fits well in here too.

I currently have High Priest of Penance in my maybeboard. Depending on how successfully/often I can pull off the Souls of the Faultless + Valor Made Real combo, I might sub in the High Priest.

With the meta I play in, no one really runs burn, and most of my friends would exile or neutralize the High Priest in some other way, so that's why I'm a little more hesitant to run it.

I see. Okay, in that case I would at least sideboard in him. I have watched that card decimate 4 planeswalkers in one combat pphase. Scary good. But that aside, +1 from me :)

Thanks LtMiller117! I agree, I think that running the High Priest as a sideboard option is more likely, because only a couple of my friends run burn, and they don't run them too often.

I think Erebos, God of the Dead could fit in this deck.

Thanks for the suggestion Pufipaez, I'll play around to see how Erebos can fit in here.

maybe consider splashing red to add spells to force the enemy to attack like Goblin Diplomats

Thanks for the suggestion ProStein1011. Now that Khans is out, I've been thinking of splashing green or red into this deck.

Red would fit mardu with a lot of cool other control things, like Crackling Doom and Mardu Charm . Abzan could get you Siege Rhino or Abzan Ascendancy . Personally, Mardu sounds better

Great idea for multiplayer. Lifelink is always seems good for those longer games. I think I would play Brave the Elements mainboard, with that and Undying Evil you can reliably stop yourself getting 2-for-1ed when you slap on the enchantments and charge, and also protect your board from sweepers (there's always someone who wants to ruin everyone's fun in multiplayer!) ;)

Maybe instead of Batwing Brume??

Crow_Umbra says... #17

Thank you for the suggestion mu.so. I like Batwing Brume because it can prevent damage, and ping damage in return. I think that Brave the Elements will be the better choice.

I do love Brave the Elements, but I may be falling into the trap of underestimating the impact of a card that I have not played with. Batwing Brume certainly looks like it could be a total blowout against aggro/token decks, just so long as you have B + W mana. I would say +2 Godless Shrine, but imagine that = $$$$$$ :D Thanks for the response :)

Crow_Umbra says... #19

One of my friends runs Batwing Brume in a B/W aggro deck. It's pretty relevant in our meta, since quite a few of our friends run token and aggro decks.

I would add 2 more of the Godless Shrine, but I'm just playing around with the dual lands that I for sure have. The Isolated Chapels typically come in untapped.

Thanks again!

A Pontiff of Blight never hurts. I like to have one for when I have left over mana. And it seems a Tablet of the Guilds would not be a bad addition as well. shrug

Crow_Umbra says... #21

Thanks for the suggestions Skwarka. I think Tablet of the Guilds could be a sweet 3-of in the Main, and I could see Pontiff as more of a side option. I'll probably play around with it to see how they fit.

November 16, 2014 10:31 p.m.

with all the devotion that you would have as far as your board presence, I would consider adding Athreos, God of Passage, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Huge life swing, and Athreos will bring back any creatures that bite the dust.

May 18, 2015 3:29 p.m.

You have 23 cards in your deck that require you to have at least one creature on the field to do anything, and only 13 creatures. This is not good.

Drop Undying Evil, drop Valor Made Real. If you want life gain you should have Martyr of Sands instead of Tablet of the Guilds.

Also you understand that you cannot use any of your own spells on Stillmoon right? The protection extends to almost all of your spells.

Thanks for the feedback ThePurpleGhost. I honestly haven't looked at my deck in a long time.

I'll rework it soon with your feedback in mind.

I really like your deck. I just have a few suggestions. I would play Death's Grasp instead of Exsanguinate. One of my favorite little combos is Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond , which I think fits perfectly into your deck. Also, since it's a casual setting, I would recommend Blood Artist. Otherwise, looks super fun!
