Approach, young listeners, and hear the tale of the Nightman. He prowls through the night, swift like a ninja, and steals into the rooms of players such as you. Beware of letting your guard down, lest the Nightman come and overpower you, with his godly strength and blackness.

Having the passionate boon of the God of Night and Darkness affords you all of the wealth and power that is hidden in his realm. You will give yourself to Erebos in exchange for the chance of obtaining any other resource. As you share the night with Erebos, the lives lost in your wake increase the power of your master.

The purpose of this deck is to make as many deals for power as possible, and to watch your opponents try to fight you before they slowly shrivel into lifeless husks. Then you will leave them in a world of darkness and despair.

Featuring all manner of board control, life drain effects, and graveyard manipulation this deck is the embodiment of reckless ambition and a testament to the awesome power of Black mana.

In terms of strategy, this deck aims to set a clock on the game and slowly eke toward victory through a brutal war of attrition, at the end of which, you finally claim the boys' souls. Either opponents will be Extorted to death, or overrun by Erebos' unholy, cursed legions. In addition to the slow drain, we will be accelerating our mana as fast as possible. While the clock runs out, we give our opponents the illusions of opportunity to get out by offering them deals in the form of card draw, and allowing them a bit of democratic process in how our damage is assigned and our modals chosen.

A couple weird choices - Bad Moon helps to mitigate the downside from Heartless Summoning. Pathrazer of Ulamog which is more of a reanimation target, and for providing a beatdown strategy/outlet for my obscene amounts of mana. I would have gone with Big Ula himself if he didn't shuffle my grave.
