"Let teachers and priests and philosophers brood over questions of reality and illusion. I know this: if life is illusion, then I am no less an illusion, and being thus, the illusion is real to me. I live, I burn with life, I love, I slay, and am content."

-Conan the Cimmerian, shortly before casting Temur Ascendancy.

We came here to cast fatties and draw cards, and we're all out of draw. 'Till we cast fatties. Well, ok, we are running a set of Brainstorm, but that's not the point.

Every creature in the deck has 4 or more power, meaning that they all activate Temur Ascendancy, Temur Battle Rage, and Savage Punch ; also any one of them is sufficient to buddy up with Sabertooth Outrider.

AEthersnipe temporarily removes any nonland permanent. Most of the time, one turn should be enough.

Blastoderm is awesome value and invaluable against control decks but between the mana requirement and the inability to Savage Punch or Temur Battle Rage with him, might need to go to 2.

Errant Ephemeron provides flying when we need it and helps us use the 2-drop slot even if he does nothing till turn 6.

Frost Walker also helps lower our curve but doesn't suffer from the delay, as well as just accelerating the loop if Temur Ascendancy stays on the field.

hooting mandrils is surprisingly easy to cast for in a deck running Manamorphose, Brainstorm, Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds.

Keldon Halberdier is another "we can't afford to take the first two turns off" workhorse.

Sabertooth Outrider is perhaps a bit "win-more;" I may try swapping out for a couple Reclaim or Turn Aside to help protect Temur Ascendancy.

Since we're trying to hit exactly on turn 3, and we're running Hooting Mandrills, we're running a full complement of Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds as our fixing suite, and since we're doing all that shuffling Brainstorm turns into serious value.

Echoing Truth helps fend off early aggro, particularly token decks.

Manamorphose fixes our mana and fills our graveyard for Hooting Mandrills, just like our lands, except instead of ramping it cantrips.

Savage Punch because Pit Fight just don't have a guy punching a bear in the face. Unacceptable.

Temur Battle Rage is the game-closer once you've got any critters besides Frost Walker s and Blastoderm s.
